Dimensions Needlecrafts Counted Cross Stitch, Emma's Friends Stocking

The fabric is very stiff and difficult to keep in an embroidery hoop. Not sure if I will continue working on it.

Beautiful stocking kit by Dimensions. Kit includes all materials needed to complete a counted cross stitch Christmas stocking as well as a clear, color coded chart and directions to transform your completed stitching into a stocking. I will most likely bring my finished piece to my local needlework shop as the lady who does framing also does gorgeous finishing work (stockings, pin cushions, ornaments, etc...) BUT the included directions are clear enough that most people should be able to create a stocking without needing to take it someplace to have it done.

Aside from a couple of places where I miscounted, and it does happen in counted cross-stitch, the project is proceeding at a good pace, and I'm only stitching an hour or so a day. I'm impressed with the range of colors and the half stitches. The picture has a watercolor feel to it with the negative space provided by the canvas.The colors are well chosen and the subject wonderful. I'm sure my granddaughter will appreciate it when she gets older. I'm glad I chose this one to make and give for Xmas.

The pattern is somewhat hard to read, but it really works up well. I'm not quite finished, but at the outlining stage and I'm really pleased with how it's turning out.

I have had very good luck with Dimensions products and recommend them to anyone who enjoys Cross Stitch.

I reordered "Emma's Friends" three times & each time received the wrong kit. Someone placed all the Emma's Friends UPC labels on a different cross stitch kit. I never did receive the correct kit. Disappointing, as it looks really cute in the pictures

Great design and fun to do. It’s a gift for family member.
