Schutt Sports AiR 5.6 Softball Batter's Helmet, Matte White, Large

When looking for a helmet for my 8 year old we were having trouble finding one that fit her and finding one for my 4 year old was pretty much impossible. This had been the only brand that I have been able to find one small enough to fit my 4 year, (we haven't bought for my 8 year old yet, we got this one when it was on sale). It fits great and has a lot of padding to protect her. We haven't had the chance to test it during a game since the season was over when we got it, but we did put it on her and have her run around and jump and it stayed in place.

I really like the design and construction of this helmet. The finish is a flat hot pink and fits great on my average sized 5 yr old. The padding Schutt uses seems to have less surface area so I would assume it would be cooler (less padding touching skin). Unfortunately, the helmet had black markings on the back like it had been sitting on a shelf for a while. I was able to get most of it off with some alcohol but you can still see it. In addition, the helmet is faded underneath the XS size sticker put on by Schutt. To be fair, the seller didn't provide contact info and I didn't try to reach out. I'm sure they would've swapped it out had I emailed them.

This is a great helmet. Bought it for my 7 year old for her first year fast pitch softball, along with the face mask. I love how there are many sizes which allows for a more custom fit. Trying on standard helmets, my very tall 7 yo was too big for youth size, yet the adult was way too loose. I got the small which is perfect for her with a some room to grow and little wobble. Her teammates are jealous of her purple helmet with pink face mask!

We purchased this helmet for my 6 year old playing tee ball. She loves that it stands out, and it fits her head snugly. I feel confident knowing she is safer while wearing it, and she loves the color. Would definitely recommend for 5-7 year olds playing teeball/softball. We ordered size small.

It is good for you to wear the softball helmet because if you don't wear the softball helmet you might get hurt . (so you should wear the softball helmet .) (If you are playing soft ball then you should wear the softball helmet .)

Bought this for my 4 year old for Tball. The helmet did it's job but it really restricts the field of vision. He had to run with his head tilted back (no, the helmet was not too big). Great quality helmet, just didn't fit the little guy well.

No complaints but does not have a large enough space for pony tail holder like was mentioned in questions.Also, chin strap sold separately. (That’s in the description though)

Very nice helmet, does what it meant to do. Inside foam seems to come off more easily than the other brands I've used in the past...but my teams loves them.
