HeddonSuper Spook Topwater Fishing Lure for Saltwater and Freshwater, Frog, (7/8 oz)

Awesome top water lure. I have caught over a dozen fish on this lure. Well made, sharp hooks.One of my best fishing stories with this lure:I hooked into a a decent sized fish that was giving me a good fight. The line broke, and I lost my lure. I was ready to order another right at that moment, but figured I’d wait until I got home.About 20 minutes later, I hear a fish jump out of the water about 50’ away. I looked over, saw the fish literally spit the lure out. I even heard the lure rattle.Rather than leave my lucky Heddon lure floating in the distance, I put another top water lure on and tried to hook it and retrieve it.After about 15 casts, I was able to hook it and bring it in.I wouldn’t believe the story if someone told me.

Change the split rings and hooks, Received it and took it out on boat and first cast got a 23in trout. Then was working in Clearwater fl so threw this and first cast again got a snook! Bought 3 more.

The side to side action and rattle gets attention from Bass and they can't resist it. The white/silver color on a cloudy day is icing on the cake. My technique is to let it sit for about 5 seconds after it hits the water then I walk it about 2-3 feet and let it sit for a few seconds. That pause gives Bass a chance to strike and since its sitting still they rarely miss it.

Bass smash this thing in the fall and when they’re primarily fishing top water. I change out the hooks for VMC in-line 1/0 hooks for easier catch and release and to cause less damage to the fish. Throw it in the fall where there’s Shad or baitfish schooling around and walk the dog. Necessity to have in the tackle box!

I wish the company sold a version of this with single hooks only. Taking the treble hooks off and replacing them with Owners single hooks was a real pain in the patootee.

The action on this thing great. If it hits top water, this lure will catch it.

Pagué 179.40 pesos (aprox 9 usd) por el señuelo lo que lo pone cercano a su valor real en USA. El señuelo se mueve en zig-zag, una vez que se encuentra el ritmo adecuado. Tenía mis dudas con la durabilidad del acabado tipo cromo y puede ser bastante resistente ya que cuenta con un recubrimiento transparente bastante duro. Sin embargo, al ser un recubrimiento duro, es frágil si se golpea contra las rocas, lo que en mi caso sucede ocasionalmente al pescar en escolleras. En general, es una buena compra.

I ordered the "white/pink head/silver insert" version. The image associated to it does make it look way more red than it actually is. This lure is actually very bright pink. It's like the description, not the image. I intended on getting a red one with a transparent body like the image is made to look. (I know one is labeled red, I didn't want the white body {or at least the image shows a white body, who knows} I wanted the clear body) Now with that being said, I'm not that upset since it actually looks really good just beware that it's a bright pink. And the important thing is that it catches fish, hopefully I'll find out soon enough.
