Helps a lot with my CVS
Pros:- Really soothing to my eyes. Normally get tension headaches from normal screens within minutes.-- Very decent resolution for the screen size and factoring eink quality.- It's portable and basically I can place it in front of my laptop screen.- In video mode, I can have clear calls with my colleagues.- Productivity - great with terminals / IDEs.- Flexibility - being able to run a screen output, means I can use this for a lot of use cases for example Whatsapp calls/messages to reduce my phone screen time (I am not using the Dasung mirroring software, just the PC app), simple informational videos (for example browsing for information and ending up on YouTube), amazing with the Kindle app (manga on this is way better on than on a much smaller Kindle device especially with the touch functionality, besides being tethered to a laptop).- Windows and Linux both have great contrast enhancement features that make the experience even nicer.Cons:- It's a bit small for its price. I did not splurge on the monitor version (currently double the price of this option) because I could not test it beforehand having ordered this internationally and was not sure of its effectiveness.- You will need to tweak the settings to work for you rather than this working out of the box - screen size, refresh rate, operating software high contrast options, text size, resolution, IDE colours, colours for different software typically needs configuration on top of the operating system colours (think tweaking your browser, terminal settings, IDE settings, email client, web pages (gmail)). Dark mode does not work as well as light mode here so expect needing to configure a lot of websites apps. You will also need to change settings as you do different things. Most of my tweaking was done to a reasonable extent after 1-2 days. I found graphics, Fast++ worked for productivity, web browsing and video mode, Fast++ for video calls/YouTube/etc.

Doesn't even render text properly.
Let me start by saying that I have been interested in the eink technology since the very first Amazon Kindle came out, and since then I have owned multiple eink devices from various companies such as Amazon, Kobo, and Onyx. So, going into this purchase I had modest requirements/expectations that the monitor should be able to render text at a quality similar to an ereader which costs 1/10th the price of this eink monitor.Alas, I expected too much from this monitor to even render text properly which was going to be my primary use case. The text was always fuzzy, and the thickness of the letters would change seemingly randomly. Here are some of the things I tried-1. Switched to text mode.2. Switched to high contrast mode on Windows 11.3. Disabled animations.4. Used a solid color (white) for the desktop wallpaper.See the attached images for examples.a) Red color highlights fuzzy/toothy letters.b) Highlighter highlights uneven letter thickness.I never expected this to be an issue at this point in state of the eink technology.I feel I should also mention this, because none of the reviews available online do- graphics and the video mode are very noisy. I don't mean the ghosting that one should expect with eink technology. I mean a solid white background will not be a clean white color in those modes, and pressing the C button will not change that! See attached pictures.

Could use an auto refresh.
Works well enough, but seeing as this can be plugged into an outlet, it would be nice if the screen could automatically refresh every 5 or 10 seconds to clear the lines caused by rendering dynamic movement of the mouse cursor or onscreen applications.

Not worth the price yet
It's a cool little thing but it's not worth $800. I would love to buy one of these at $200.

Does what it should
This is my second dasung screen. I get horrible headaches with screens and e ink is my only fix. The first monitor worked good until the hdmi adapter port got loose and finally broke and couldn't be fixed (paperlite HD or 3 or whatever it was).I finally dumped the cash for this one because I have to work on the computer and also want to reduce eye pressure (genetic glaucoma risk here). And it has a nice usb c port and also hdmi as backup. One cable instead of 2 to plug in. Performs fine. Ghosting a little more than old one but it doesn't bother me.It's still not very big, and still costly, but (as you can tell from my pictures) I'm ergonomic heavy and happy that it does what it's supposed to: zero eye strain! The stand and cover is also very nice to have to protect it and carry around.

Super Satisfied!
The media could not be loaded. Hey!I wanted to share my experience with the Dasung 13.3in Touch Model. I’ve used various e-ink devices (currently use a Remarkable 2 for design), but this one really stands out, especially with the 39 FPS setting. It now functions almost like an LCD, minus the harmful blue light. We know blue light disrupts sleep and damages the pineal gland, which has both physical and spiritual consequences. If you’re sensitive, you can feel that "dulling" effect from typical screens. With e-ink, there’s a natural sense of space—you’re not glued to the screen the same way, and it lets you stay present, especially outdoors where I prefer to work.Connecting the Dasung to my M3 MacBook Pro has been a revelation. The 39 FPS refresh rate fixed most issues I had with e-ink: ghosting, slow refresh, struggles with darker backgrounds. Now, it's smooth and the resolution is incredible—feels like a 4K display. Plus, it only requires a single USB-C connection, no external power.- Lightweight & Portable: Super sleek design with a quality aluminum body.- No Blue Light: This alone is worth the investment—supporting well-being while staying productive.- Perfect for Outdoor Use: I love working outside, and this display thrives in natural light. Even in hot conditions, it performs like a champ. If you're into tech that prioritizes health, this is for you. Shoutout to Sol Computers for bringing this to the U.S.!Best,Blaine
