Tefal ActiFry Low Fat Fryer, 1 kg - Black

Having spent some time reading reviews of several air fryers, I settled on the Actifry and paid a bit more than I originally budgeted for. I am glad I did. The stirrer saves taking out the pan and shaking it ( as required by cheaper models) as it slowly turns and stirs the food so that it ends up with even cooking and browning.So far I have cooked chicken and chips together, sausages and saute potatoes together and added carrots to the latter after 10 minutes . These all came out exceptional well and tasted very good.The only mistake I made was when I initially cooked chips by themselves to try it out and did not measure the weight of the chips. I set the timer for too long and they were just a bit overcooked ( but still tasted OK).Buy one you will not be dissapointed ( and will eat healthier)

This is a fantastic device. The main problem I find with frying is the smell that persists after you are finished with the pan of oil, which you do not get with this.The actifryer makes the food crispy but doesn't leave it oily. It also doesn't leave the food dry. I tend to use it for potato wedges, and it leaves them fluffy inside and crispy outside.The main benefit is that you can leave it running without having to worry about the oil igniting. It makes cooking easy, and for someone as lazy as me it's great being able to leave it cooking while I watch TV.The design of the product is also snazzy and modern.

ok so let's start at the beginning, ordered on the 20th arrived on the 22nd, great service Amazon. I like chips and my deep fat fryer was playing up, renewal cost around the £60 mark. looked at this Tefal Actifry, read the reviews and for £103.99 went for it. On arrival a quick look at the paperwork to see how to use but it was so easy. I washed the pan and paddle to start with and chucked in a small portion of my cheap frozen chips from Lidl. (I like them and they deep fried lovely) no oil added. Set the timer for just 15 minutes and hit the on button. Reading the reviews I thought it was going to be noisey but no worse than a microwave believe me no problem at all. Once cooked the chips were not the same taste as deep fried but they were nice enough and no chip pan smell or loads of oil to buy and dispose of. The size of the Actifry isn't as bad as what I thought it would be and looks good on the kitchen work surface. I can't wait for my lovely wife to come home so that I can make cips for her to tryeven though she is on a diet. Next to no fat, taste nice what more can anyone want. I recommend this to others who like me struggle making up their minds if or not to move on from the chip pan / deep fat fryer. I will try meatballs tomorrow and after that there are lots of things that I want to try out of the recipe book but there are even more ideas on the internet.NOTE - Genuine Tefal Actifry AH90xx AH95xx AW95xx Snacking Grid XA701171 is the mesh basket that fits this model

I can't believe this works. The wife says these are the best chips ever. I've also done roast potatoes, french fries and they crisp up like nothing before. High on energy use, but probably less than your normal oven.I like the way the oven can be freed up for other things now.Dishwasher safe and easy to serve from and clean.The low level of oil required is amazing and is far healthy than even oven chips which are covered in grease.

It arrived either the tomer part broken and hangs off each time lid opens but I’m not worried about that. What does worry me is how hot the lid gets during use. You have to try to hold it when you open as its on a spring but Blimey be careful folks it’s dangerously hot. Does what it says though very good product judge carefully on timing until you get used to it because with frozen fries it took about 15mins not 25 as shown on actual machine

Best thing I ever bought... makes my life sooo much easier. I can just throw in vegies, chips, chicken.. just about anything and walk away for 1/2 hour, doing something else why my food is cooking away happily. Was sceptical.. but the chips are lovely and crispy. So much easier to clean and safer than a normal fryer... Love it :)

Best kitchen gadget I have ever bought! Had been toying with the idea of getting a deep fat fryer but our friends had an Actifry so we got one based on their recommendation. Haven't stopped using it since we got it. Fantastic chips, roast potatoes and amazing curry! Looking forward to experimenting with lots of other dishes.Would highly recommend.

This cooks better than I thought it would. It produces tasty roasted vegetables. I've used it for fresh potatoes, parsnips, carrot and sweet potatoes and frozen chips, we even warmed up frozen individual Yorkshire puddings in it too. I found it a great help for Christmas dinner. Occasionally, a small vegetable can be lifted onto the rim of the pan, this can easily be flicked back in with the rest. It is easy to clean although the paddle may need to be left soaking after use and then it's like new. If adding herbs to vegetables it's best to turn the vegetables and oil first before turning on the fryer.
