Key Fob Keyless Entry Remote fits GX470 LX470 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 (HYQ1512V)

It says clearly it should work for a 2008 Lexus GX470 but it’s way too short. The locksmith said that they were either corrupt (purposefully dumping off the wrong thing in us) or inept (grabbing and shipping the wrong thing) but the fact that it said it would work for all those listed models and years means they were lying because that’s impossible; they’re more car-specific than that.

It was received quickly, and I was able to program it by myself.

This key was purchased using the part number indicated in the listing (correct part for the vehicle).The key I ordered for this Lexus GX 470 is useless. The keyless "remote" doesn't pair to the vehicle using the Toyota software to pair keys (same as dealer uses). In my experience these aftermarket keys have a 25% success rate. Sometimes the immobilizer chip is bad. Sometimes the remote is bad. Sometimes both are bad. The companies that sell them can't test them and sell them just cheap enough that you don't return it instead of complaining.For the price I'm not returning it either, I cannibalized it for the battery and a little screw that often falls out of similar keys. I'll chalk it up to another untrustworthy Amazon order that wasted my time and hard earned money, but isn't worth going through the headache to return. I wasted my time and money so you don't have to -- don't buy one of these.

The key itself is great however mine came with a weak signal when u wanted to unlock/lock the car where i have to be next to the car door the car to recognize

I liked everything about it. The price, the fact it was the exact replacement. I removed an old chip from the original fob & placed it in this one. It works great 👍.

The key was able to be cut, and does have a transponder to start the vehicle, but none of the buttons function. It can be used to manually lock/unlock the door and start the vehicle, but was unable to be programmed for remote lock/unlock or panic functions.

No good on keyless entry, but programmed to immo. system ok.

The fob works great as keyless entry. I have not cut the key yet so not sure about the transponder aspect
