Bought this for my new Neewer CM28 mics and they fit nicely. Feels sturdy and well made, but not sure why this simple piece of molded plastic was $17 and didn't include a windscreen at least.

I do a lot of shoots with on screen talent and it’s all with a handheld mic. Makes setup super easy and you do not have to wire people up. I cannot say when the last time I used a lapel mic. I always use a Mic windscreen when doing shoots. I know my mics have great noise cancelation tech but I really like blocking the wind. And lately it’s been pretty windy out when shooting. What I like about this mic converter is it takes a Lapel mic and makes it a full on hand held. With all the same abilities of a Lapel mic these new mics also have a built in high quality mic. So why not stick it on a stick and make it a hand held wireless mic. This is so much better than seeing a mic taped to a wooden spoon. This fits both of my Neewer mics, My Boya mic(which is on it now) and a few others I have. So it seems to be compatible with most 2.4 ghz wireless mics. It’s an affordable price and great functionality as a hand held. Its size is not too big but feels comfortable in the hand.

A lot of us who are involved in video production have discovered and employed some of the new breed of Bluetooth wireless microphone systems, you know, the miniature clip-on transmitters with an integral microphone. These are often plenty adequate for vlogging, interviews, etc., but they are clip-on, body-worn microphones. And there are times when it would be nice to be able to have a wireless handheld mic instead. Sure, you can hold one of those module transmitters up to your mouth, or thrust your transmitter-equipped fist up to someone else’s mouth, but seriously… do you really want to do that on camera? Enter the StarRig, a solid plastic handle designed to accommodate a variety of these wireless transmitter modules.The end of the handle has a molded cold shoe. So, transmitters with clips that fit that mount can now be pressed into double duty. The manufacturer suggests that both their own brand, CaTeFo, and RODE’s Wireless GO will work with the StarRig handle. From my own audio kit, I found the Godox MovLink II M2 and Boya worked well, but the clips of neither the Movo Edge-Op-Duo, for the Osmo Pocket, nor the Saramonic Blink 500T2 were small enough to fit. Hmm… there’s always gaffer tape.The StarRig construction is plenty rugged, so it will not require a lot of pampering. Molded into the side and the base are a pair of ¼-20 female threaded receptacles for attaching to a wide variety of stands, magic arms, clamps, adapters and such. I mounted the arm to an adapter on top of a mic stand and wished that the mounting threads were located further away from the microphone, so as to better utilize the advantage of a long handle. A better idea would be to use a mic stand adapter, either a universal spring clamp or some adapter you may have lying around, like I did.I would like to see one or more foam windscreen options offered. One could be designed to accommodate the slightly different sizes of transmitters on the market, and would give the on-camera end of the StarRig handle a much better appearance.My nitpicking aside, the StarRig handle meets a real need quite nicely, and does so at a very affordable price. This is a no brainer piece of kit to add to your audio-for-video bag.

This couldn't be much simpler to use. Just slide the mic's clip into the "cold shoe" slot and presto, you've got an interview style mic. I have a couple of different manufactures of transmitters, and each worked just fine. I imagine if your brand of mic will attach to the hot shoe of your camera, it will fit this adapter.One feature that makes this handle mount a little different from other similar type handle mounts I've seen is that it has two standard 1/4"-20 female tripod threads so it can be mounted and used like a mount stand when attached to a tripod. Attach it to a selfie stick and use it like a boom mic. I appreciate the added versatility and am happy overall with this mount.

My DJI mic slides right into the accessory shoe slot and is firmly mounted.The handle itself is cleanly molded and has two ¼-20 tripod sockets, one on the very bottom end of the handle and another mid-way up on the back.Lightweight, easy to hold. There’s a cardboard insert inside the box that you could use to stick your flag on, bhut you’d bbe better off buying a plastic one.Nice accessory for your DJI Mic or similar.Jerry

I used this for interviews it does work but my rode mic sometimes falls out.
