Artscape Summer Magnolia Window Film 61 x 92 cm, Light Blue, Red, Brown, Orange

My Summer Magnolia Window Film arrived very quickly and on unwrapping I was pleased to see that the film was of a high quality and not flimsy like so many others are. I made a paper template of my window sections that were to be covered (4 x triangles making up a semi-circle), transferred it to the films backing paper and then cut out. Applying to the window was easier than I thought as you can keep peeling back to smooth out any air bubbles etc. You do need a small sharp decorators knife to trim the excess and be careful not to scratch the pattern. The result is really stunning and has made a feature of my window which before was looking onto my neighbours roof! It still lets light into the room and at night from the outside (with lights on indoors) it looks really lovely. It is expensive in comparison to some of the other window films but well worth paying the extra. One very happy customer!

Absolutely delighted with this product! I heeded previous customer reviews... My window was small enough for one piece to cover it. I didn’t cut to true size and instead added 5cm to my measurements to prevent shrinkage problems. I saturated the window with slip solution (spray bottle containing cold water and a drop of washing up liquid) and after I removed the cardboard backing, I also sprayed the side of the film which would touch the window. I was then able to glide the film into place easily. I sprayed the back of the film and used the squeegee (included) to firmly press a T pattern out towards the edges, pushing out bubbles and water with ease. I then followed the vertical line of the T downwards, firmly pushing out the bubbles from the centre to the edges. Using the squeegee, I pressed the edges firmly against the window frame and used the squeegee to guide my sharp Stanley knife to cut the film to a perfect fit. It took a bit of time and patience, as the film is quite thick. I then ran around the edges with kitchen roll to soak up any remaining liquid and remove corner bubbles. Job done relatively quickly! Really pleased with the result. No bubbles and no shrinkage using this method. The film gives complete privacy to the door at the back of my carport, you cannot see through it, except for very blurred patches of light and dark if you press your nose to the window. The image is the same colour and texture on both sides. The look and colour density depends entirely on your light source in front of and behind the window. Please see my photos. My garden is split in two down the middle and the half that doesn't belong to me, is the direct view from outside my bedroom window. I really wanted to disguise it as opening the bedroom window every morning was an emotional downer for me. I knew that this film would completely block the view so I left a 2 inch gap on the left side so that if I needed to see what the weather as like etc. I could peep behind the curtains.When I put it up it gave a beautiful golden glow to the room. I sometimes just glaze at it and find its design uplifting. The light in my bedroom is in no way compromised.My first morning waking up and opening the curtains was a wonderful experience. Yes, the garden outside my bedroom window is still a mess but it is a case of out sight, out of mind.Just wish it was cheaper.

I had ordered the summer magnolia window film and found the instructions easy and it looks fantastic however, I have since ordered 2 more and each time they have sent the wrong item and colour which is very frustrating as I would just like to finish the large window I started.

Product arrived promptly. Easy to use instructions and only took 10 minutes to install. I live on the ground floor, so I used it on my balcony door instead of keeping my blinds drawn. Delighted with result. Provides a lovely feature window for the room and the privacy I need without blinds. I still need another piece to finish off my door so I will be ordering some more. If I have any gripes its just that it's a bit expensive for the amount of film in each roll, but nevertheless I'm very pleased with it.

I love it! I needed something to cover two small ground floor windows for privacy and debated getting this film because it’s a bit more expensive than other ones I’ve seen, but I’m so glad I did. It is a nice balance of privacy while still allowing in light. I was worried it would look tacky or plasticky but it doesn’t at all. It really transformed the windows and genuinely brings me joy to look at them.

It is bright, looks great. Easy to use. Can be taken off as and when. Just love that particular design.

Bought it for our kitchen windows for a flat on the ground floor to allow for privacy without compromising on light. The idea of stained glass effect really appealed and of many different designs on here, chose this one because it looked like one that would let more light through due to it being mostly white and light grey in colour, judging by the pictures. Only a bit of green and tiny bit of brown, but overall it looked very light, just what we needed. However, the real product is far from it, disappointingly. It's VERY dark and DOESN'T LET MUVH LIGHT through, it's not so much as a slightly opaque film with some colour to it, as I would have expected, it's more of a think poster covering up the window and letting in very little light. The warning on the roll states that it looks dark with a backing and it will look lighter on the window, so I still hoped for better when I opened up the package. However, even after the film backing was removed it was too dark, instead of mostly white colour seen on picture here, it's is actually a sheet of bluish grey with white flowers, greenery and brown branches, and there are not enough of white flowers to make up for the overall darkness. Very disappointed.
