JBL Bar 700: 5.1-Channel soundbar with Detachable Surround Speakers and Dolby Atmos®, Black

I own a lot of JBL products, from their home theater Pro Studio line (7.2 speaker system) to headphones, Extreme 4 portable and the 500 soundbar/subwoofer system. I got this for our "cave" and wanted a little more sound and bass than the 500 system I use in my home office. This blew away my expectations! Great JBL quality and sound! Olenty of hard wire connection options as well as seemless vlietooth. The JBL app allows tweaking the system from EQ control to rear speaker volume and a lot of other nice tweaks including a player to control your bluetooth music. The detachable rear speakers can be left connected to the main bar or pulled and placed wherever you want them. They even allow you to run USB C cables to them if you do not want to have to reconnect them to the main bar to recharge, so you can permanently "mount" them and just enjoy/jam out!I have been using JBL equipment for 25+ years, and this system continues the great quality, sound and pricing that I expect from JBL! I will probably wind up getting the 1000 or 1300 system for our main living room home theater with the way the 500 and this 700 system has performed! I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a great sounding system without the amo and sepeeate speakers with speaker wire running everywhere! Thanks for continuing to rock, JBL!

Seriously, this sound system is amazing. Barely have to put up the audio and it definitely gets the sound through. Setup is easy and that bass... so so good. Not to mention the dialogue really cuts through comparatively to other sound systems I've used. Like a theater. Plus, the true wireless nature of those back speakers is awesome. Plus, you can charge them where they are at with a usb c cable.Now my non 5 star review goes to Amazon's handling of shipping. This item that should have been at my place in a couple days, for whatever reason, took over a week to get to me. Part of the reason I got this system specifically was due to it being in stock and would be able to get to me fast - I know not the biggest issue. It's more just that I've had an issue with Amazon recently getting stuff my way - and this specifically was one of the more egregious. Just constantly pushing back the arrival date, which would not allow me to cancel the order, going from my state - close by - to another state, far away and then back again. Just seems like they would have actually been better about this.

Setting up this system was extremely easy. While the instructions themselves were cryptic (no words just pictures), I barely needed them. Upon plugging in the soundbar everything worked more or less automatically. Upon connecting an HDMI cable to the ARC ports my tv connected to it automatically and the sound bar automatically switched to that input. The speakers all sound great, and the subwoofer is powerful - to the point I normally keep it around level 3 (out of 5) to best match "movie theater" mix levels. The rear speakers are really convenient being completely wireless - though being so small, mobile, and ultimately battery powered, they have limited power. They do the job and achieve a very decent surround experience, in line with what you'd expect of a $900 system. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend this system to others.

I just received my new Bar 700. This unit is amazing, Setup was real easy. Love the surround sound system. Worth every $$$.

I recently purchased this system for our living room. Assembly is very simple and the product itself is user friendly.My favorite added bonus is the app. I hardly ever use the remote mainly because we can never find our remotes. The app allows us to always have control at our finger tips.Sound quality is great. The subwoofer has worked wonders for our weekly movie nights. With the surround sound speakers we were able to make our living room feel like date night.You’re also able to connect your phone to the system allowing us to play music while doing chores or relaxing. This system has actually put our Alexa’s on the back burner.

I was initially searching for a sound solution to help with low dialogue sounds. I was thinking of getting a soundbar specifically designed to augment dialogue but after doing research I settled on this unit. I'm very pleased with it and the dialogue sounds great even with the woofer booming at times. I haven't had any issue hearing the speech portions of the shows and movies.One thing I ran into in case this helps anyone else. We were streaming Paramount+ via Roku (because the actual Android P+ app sucks) and there were sound issues. I specifically had a Roku Express. During silent moments the soundbar would cut out and sound would not come back when audio resumed on the show. For example, when skipping intro or when skipping to the next episode, there would be audio issues. I did troubleshooting with JBL, we couldn't solve it so after some more trial and error I updated the Roku to a 4k Stick and the sound issue is gone.
