Very Americany
Not that impressed with the book. The ingredients and quantities are American. I have another book which is American and they have given metric quantities as well as imperial. They have also included a glossary at the back so you can look up ingredients you don't recognise to find out what the British equivalent is. This is not the case with this book. Some of the ingredients are not going to be so easy to find in Britain and will probably be expensive. There seem to be a lot of ingredients needed for the recipes too, a lot of which won't be readily available in the cupboard. Then there's the fact it was written for American taste buds. Very very sweet and some unusual combinations. I probably won't use any of the recipes in the 'savory dishes & desserts' chapter. The picture is of Praline Popcorn. I could only eat a handful as it was so sweet and sickly. My son loved it though :0SAll in all, not a winner for me. Ok for a bit of inspiration from a dozen or so recipes, but that's about it.

Great little book
Bought as a Christmas present along with a popcorn maker for a 10 year old. He found the popcorn maker fascinating and seemed really excited to try out the recipes in the book. Good range of different ideas from sweet to savoury.
