Hopkins 48195 Quick Fix 4-Wire Flat Set (Vehicle and Trailer Ends)

Quick fix on the road. Not a good permanent solution without work.Plastic is not flexible to redo wires. I had to weld it shut. The wire clips don't crimp the wires. I soldered the wires to hold. It's a good quick fix.

This product is easy to use but came with no directions what so ever. I looked it up on line and found directions but neither my husband nor I could get the product to work. When you went to open it back up one of the plastic parts snapped off.

Tin the wire ends with solder so connection holds tight.

I searched for this product all over the web, this was the only one that was designed to do exactly what I required.

I always had a problem when only one half of a trailer connector breaks. This gadget does a great job of repairing without replacing both halves of the line. I see some reviewers gave these connectors a bad review because they tried using them with a wire size not intended for the connector. Remember these are intended for automotive trailer wiring, not for high amperage wires or large solid wires!

Make sure the wires actually make a connection when they clip in

Perfect for "cleaning up" the wiring on older trailers.

Used this to connect my 4 pin flat vehicle connection to the existing 6 pin square on my trailer. Cut the wires then used this quick fix to make a connection with the 4 existing wires on the trailer. Worked excellent.

The kit was exactly what I needed. I did solder it up then sealed them. In a pinch this kit would get you fixed up
