boat motor now.
i got this a few weeks now and have mounted it on my old outboard motor shaft and in description it said only on push motor, well if you know what to do you can put in on anything so in that it ran great and great price.

This motor shaft may not be same as your old one. Need to put oil in after mounting.
My old mower shaft was one inch diameter new one seven eights of inch. Could have used sleeve to fill gap, but ordered correct size. I tapped 3/8 by 16 hole in block to mount on deck. After adding oil ,and gas, started in first pull. Need new throttle cable. Keeps loosing contact. Overall a good product for price. Recommend this product.

Junk!!
Received the engine and everything looked fine. Installed on unit and started it only to find it runs like garbage. Constantly surging and will not find a steady rpm. Then if you turn it off it does not want to restart. Kicks back ripping the cord out of your hand. If you let it sit for a few minutes it might restart but then continues to run terrible. Tried to contact the seller to return the item only to be told it’s not returnable and you can’t get ahold of anyone at Briggs. They want you to contact your local dealer who isn’t going to help because you didn’t buy it from them. I’d use it as a boat anchor but it’s built so cheap that it doesn’t even weigh enough to do that with it. Expensive lesson and Briggs and Stratton isn’t what they use to be. Save a couple dollars and buy a predator engine at least you have some sort of warranty

payed $240 for this motor new came in bad not running good took to briggs and stratton dealer for them to check motor and they said it was bad could not be fixed mauf problem and now can't get money back or replacement motor will never order anything like this again from amazon

Runs rough
Was told it would work on a log splitter. Have no way to adjust the idyll. No way to shut off

Bought this engine new had problem starting sometimes. Lasted 2 1/2 seasons
Tried cutting some small cutting from my muscadine bush but when I shut off the engine to move to my from lawn it would not start. Carb ok, spark plug ok, coil ok.
