Mostly compatible, not a drop-in replacement. Great upgrade.
This is a great radiator. Much thicker than stock and should cool the engine much more efficiently. Note that since the radiator is larger than stock, it doesn't fit with the surrounding hardware as well as the OEM one. With the stock radiator fans installed, the power steering hoses need to be shoved aside slightly to fit around the assembly.Stock fans do fit well, but you will need to also order at least qty. 4 M6x10 bolts, as the mounting points for the fans and the coolant crossover tube are now M6 threads instead of the coarse-thread self-tapping screws used in the OEM plastic radiator. This is a nice upgrade, but it's not mentioned in the description and the hardware doesn't come with the radiator.Additionally, you will need to order generic coolant hose of ID 1/4" to connect the coolant crossover tube to the nipple on the radiator cap protrusion. The OEM part 45162FE010 (for 2004-2007 Imprezas) no longer fits without stressing the hose considerably.Aside from these small fitment issues, it's a great upgrade.

Exceptional product and buying experience. But where are my stickers??? I needz teh stickerz
This review is a two part one. Firstly for the product itself and secondly for Amazon's quality of service. I ordered this radiator for saturday shipping and was told to expect it by or before 8 pm on saturday. Sure enough it arrived before, way before. I came home at 10 am to leave a note for Fedex just incase they needed a signature as I could not chance missing delivery. Upon inspection I noticed mishimoto really has pride in their product. It was packaged in a beautiful black box with glossy logo printed down the side with a product name and description rather than your usual brown box with simple serial number and barcode. That was a great first impression. Things just got better from there. The radiator was neatly packaged with protective sleeves and a company print clear vacuum sealed plastic wrapping. The fit was absolutely spot on. In fact, it may be the best fitting non factory piece on my car. The welds are beautiful and it makes a great show piece on top of being a great service/performance part. The only two things I have to gripe about are the fact that no matter what you do, it seems the overflow nipple block off is a destined to fail install. I ended up just using epoxy to seal off the hole as the bolt snapped in half stuck in the thread. My only other complaint is the lack of stickers. Seriously Mishimoto, how am I supposed to tell everyone my car is super fast and sponsored without super awesome brand name stickers? Other than that I am way more than satisfied with the product and exceptionally happy with the buying experience. Would recommend to anyone with a cracked crappy stock radiator. Seriously just splurge so you never have to replace the stock junk radiator again. Would totally do it again but I don't cause I have a proper radiator now

Great Replacement for an 02 WRX but the included cap is garbage
I bought this as the radiator in my 02 Subaru WRX was leaking. Swapping the old one out and putting this in was a pretty easy job. About an hour total. The radiator looks wonderful under the hood and appears to be great quality. The reason this gets a 4 stars is because the first time I drove my car after replacing this it overheated because the cap that is included was leaking so bad once the car warmed up that i lost a ton of coolant. Now the replacement cap I picked up was only about 12 dollars at the store, the point is that when buying a aftermarket radiatior and spend a few hundred dollars you don't expect to have to change the cap immediately.

Great Fitment
Installed nicely on my 2005 STi. Make sure you tighten down the drain plug (mine was loose). Also use your new mishimoto cap on the expansion tank and move the OE expansion tank cap to the Mishimoto radiator. Check their site for instructions if you're not sure why. Welds are beautiful, everything bolted up nicely. I had to trim my SPT radiator shroud (aftermarket) to clear the overflow nipple but nothing major. Car runs cool (200F max in 100F ambient stop and go). It did make the upper radiator hose get too close to the pulleys, so I shortened it slightly.

Great Product
My 2002 WRX was on its 2nd OEM radiator when it started leaking from the top at the plastic/ aluminum seam. Bought the Mishimoto on a leap of faith after reading positive reviews on it. The install took two hours, tops. Fit perfect; didn't need to shorten hoses or break any tabs off the fan mounts (I had heard I would have to so it would fit). This radiator takes more coolant than the stock one did so be prepared with an extra jug. Also, by all means, buy new hoses when you change your radiator! Its hard to get the old hoses to fit snug enough on the new radiator so that it wont leak. Now I don't have to worry about the radiator seperating and leaking and my car runs 10 to 15 degrees cooler (I have a digital gauge). This radiator is the way to go.
