Thinner than expected but nice, cover same on both sides
Smaller, thin notebook. Seems to be good quality. It's slightly taller than a composition notebook and has 30 sheets (front and back = 60 total pages). I did not expect it to be this thin. One thing I appreciate is the cover is the same on both sides, so you can use it R-L or L-R, at your preference. I bought the Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen set to try with this. If there are any problems with bleeding through, I'll update the review.

It's perfect!
It's perfect. Just as pictured. I purchased this to practice my kanji. The pages are really smooth and easy to write on. You can use the book going left to right or flip it going right to left. Also comes with some stickers.

Perfect for Japanese Studying
I love this book! I will definitely be buying more for myself and my sister who studied Japanese as well.Perfect for practicing Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Also just great for writing Japanese.I love that it lays flat, or close enough.I am unsure if fountain pens will bleed or not but the paper feels strong enough to not allow it to happen.

Paper quality is like thick newsprint
I think I paid a bit too much for this $7.50 or so. It is a medium sized, fairly thin, booklet. Paper quality is like thick newsprint. I tested using a fountain pen on it. Smooth feeling. I am left handed, so it smeared a bit. I bet it is meant for use with pencil. Pages are a bit hard to tear out, but I guess that is not it's function. Anyhow, it feels better than writing on coarse laser paper. I guess I just like throwing away my kanji practice and exercises. They just look ugly. More practice is in order.

Slides right in my folder for my school bag.
Nice to take with you as it is not very thick and can fit easily in the pocket of a notebook. Pages are nice and easy to write on. The book really has little depth so makes it better to transport it to school and back. It also fits unnoticeable in my purse. Katakana, hiragana, and kanji workbook for those studying in school or by your self at home.

Awesome Notebook
I purchased this notebook to practice kanji for my Japanese class, and it's so helpful. It's also way better than trying to practice kanji in a regular style notebook. I use a fine tip prisma color marker to write the kanji because it's a lot better than using a pen, and it doesn't even bleed through the pages. I'm super satisfied with my purchase, and would highly recommend this to anyone studying Japanese or Chinese.

Great for Kanji practice
Love this little notebook. Using it to practice writing Japanese Kanji. Really good quality! Pages are thick enough to where I can use both sides even though I'm writing with a heavy flow ink Fude Pen. Will buy again if I fill this one.

Will buy again.
It was everything I needed. I am learning Japanese and I needed to practice as well as see it. The apps on my phone and tablet are awesome but, I needed that basic “writing” practice to really understand and learn.
