I was looking for a single bowl sink to replace an existing double bowl sink that was starting to drop away from the granite counterop. My wife and I really wanted a single bowl sink, as the divider on the double bowl sink always seemed to get in the way of cleaning really large pans. What a pain! And we needed a sink that would fit the existing hole in the granite countertop, and the tight space inside the cabinet, anything else would have required a granite installer to cut the existing hole larger, or even replace it, and neither of those options sounded cheap. By the way, finding a sink to fit an existing undermount sink hole with radiused corners like mine is quite a challenge. If you're on the same quest, good luck!The Ruvati RVM4200 satisfied both requirements- the single bowl is really enormous, much bigger than the two bowls of the previous sink, and it matches the existing hole almost perfectly (the existing hole wasn't even cut very well by the granite installer, and it wasn't cut for this sink anyway, so any imperfection in the fit isn't the fault of the sink).As a bonus, the RVM4200 is obviously much heavier and higher quality than the double bowl sink it replaced. It is absolutely gorgeous, I couldn't be happier with it. I am still waiting on the silicone to set, so I can't comment on the performance, but a sink isn't exactly a technical piece, it just has to look great, and be crafted well, and the Ruvati RVM4200 scores 5 stars on both counts. The installer even asked me where I got the sink and how much I paid for it. Even he was impressed!

The short version: Do not choose this sink. It comes with a horrible chemical smell that will permeate your entire kitchen 6 months after it is installed.The long version: Ok, so we bought this sink and absolutely loved it. It looked great and was a fair price. It was installed through in the winter and was fine through the early spring. At that point we noticed a bad, chemical smell in the under sink cabinet. We assumed it was a leaky cleaning product and ignored it for a while . By the summer it had grown so intense you couldn't open that cabinet. At this point we had cleaned out the under sink cabinet and there was nothing there. It also was coming through all of the adjacent cabinets. It is super toxic smelling and can give you an instant headache. We removed everything from all the adjacent cabinets (everything has been on our counter for months now). We could not figure it out. Our contractor came, the plumber weighted in, there was no cause anyone could find. Finally some extensive google searching led me to understand that 'noise reduction panels' on the undersides of sinks (or their adhesives) can cause this kind of smell. I reached out to Ruvati and they told me that yes, their sinks can have this chemical smell problem and they sent me instructions on HOW TO CLEAN THE DRAIN. After going back and forth a couple of times, the customer service person flippantly replied, 'you have to remove the noise reduction panels from the underside of the sink'. No instruction. No apology. No offer of help. I am still waiting for them to reply with instruction, and even so, I have no idea how or if it will be feasible to remove these panels as the entire underside of the sink is sprayed with some kind of coating. Ugh, what a mess. Anyway, please let this story be a caution to you and choose another sink! Save yourself a great deal of hassle.

While having a new granite countertop installed, I was being quoted prices of $300-700 for a standard stainless steel sink, which seemed out of whack to me. After looking on Amazon and seeing this sink for $169, I decided I would order it. I have no regrets whatsoever. The most noticeable thing to me is that the sink is coated with a sound-deadening material, which makes it significantly quieter than the sink that I used to have. Also, since the sink is 16ga, it is thick and no worries about anything denting it. The finish is also very nice and it cleans easily. It came with all the things my granite fabricator needed to template the hole, and my garbage disposal fit perfectly. I could not be happier with this purchase.The only thing I will note (which was my fault, not the sink's fault...) is that the sink is deeper than my old one, meaning I had to redo the plumbing to make it fit. Fortunately, the outlet of my disposal was still higher than the drain going into the wall, but it could have been a disaster for me. So make sure you check that the depth works for you and not just the width/length!

I spent hours reading reviews on this sink before buying it. I was really torn between this one and the Kraus. In the end I went with this one because people seemed happier with it overall. My install isn't for another month, but I opened it up to inspect, and I'm glad I did. It has small spots of dirt and scratching in several spots. The black plastic parts on the wire rack are all scratched up and damaged too. This sink doesn't look new. I'm so disappointed. I will contact amazon to ask for a free ups drop off. I hope I don't have to pay to return this.

We bought this as a replacement for a Kraus sink. The kraus was going to be too deep for our disposal/aerator and ptrap.Pros:1) rounded corners (no seams)2) $50 less than the Kraus sink.3) sturdy mesh rack for rinsing4) sound insulation is awesome (even when running in sink aerator.5) nice uniform brushed stainless finishCons:1) where the brand name is etched in the back of the sink (laser or acid etched), the smallest bit of corrosion is forming. I'm guessing they acid etched it and diminished chromium values in the steel.
