Easy to install
Seems like the price was reasonable, quality was good. I only needed/installed the top half, but it fit nicely with the existing parts.

By Original GM part even if it's a few dollars more.
I originally bought an off Brand "Pioneer" that stipulated it would fit my 2000 Chevy Sliverado 2500, ext cab 4wd, 6.0L. After a long install process and finally getting to the final hook up at the transmission it was too short. No possible way to make it fit.I immediately contacted a GM mechanic and he ran my VIN. I had this part overnighedt to me from Amazon. Hour and a half later the truck was running perfect. The transmission shifts like it was brand new, all ties were included. Great deal. Highly recommend this product, as it'll save you time and a lot of headaches.

Great OEM quality
This two piece cable fit perfectly, was easy to install and not made in china. OEM parts , always the perfect fit.

Much better than aftermarket
I tried the aftermarket version first. Was hard to adjust, when a finally adjusted so it would go into all gears it was very stiff. That lasted about a year before it broke. Tore that out and installed this GM cable. Works like new.

2000 Silverado 4x4
These replaced my rotted out emergency take cables on my 2000 Silverado 1500 4x4.They were of good quality, and I have my emergency brakes back!

Worked Great
It took about an hour to install and has worked great. I'm hopefully good for another 170K miles!

If you decide to only use the bottom half look under the drivers side floor mats and see if the cable is in good condition, if s
I only used the bottom section of the cable, that was the part that had been eaten by the road salts. I've had the new section on and operating beautify for several months. My son helped me out and it only took s hour or so to install the lower half. If you decide to only use the bottom half look under the drivers side floor mats and see if the cable is in good condition, if so putting on the bottom half only may do fine for you; unless there is a problem where the upper half connects with the shifting lever or is frayed in that area. Be sure to check it out before you get to far into the replacement process, it may save you from some double work. Oh, yes we did have to do a little adjusting on the cable adjustment located where the two halves are connected. Good luck and visit "utube" to see some good video's of the replacement process etc. Jim
