I see a lot of good reviews for this kit, but this isn't one of them. I had fit issues with the engine cowling and then the right wing - both requiring a bit of work to sort out. I am pretty sure this was as a result of painting sub-assemblies before bringing them all together - which is how Tamiya instruct you to build it. Then as for the canopy? Terrible! I had to do a bit of surgery there to obtain a clean fit for the front part of it. All in all, may be I got a dodgy kit, but this was a very unenjoyable kit to build. Once you start getting problems, it just takes the shine off it and finishing the model becomes more or a chore than something you want to be doing. Three stars is being generous and I would only recommend this kit to experienced modelers who know how to overcome issues with poor fit of parts. Not what you'd expect from Tamiya and one of their more expensive kits.
