Perfection
I loved it. Had a few long hunts and I liked how comfortable it was plus how easily I could raise the seat if I needed to stand. It is noisy but not terrible. Clamps to a tree easily and won't go anywhere. It's light weight. I added back pack straps to it and my hunting bag went right over it

Reliable Steel Hang-On
These are predictably heavy so you aren't doing a lot of hang and hunts. But that's not their purpose. They are inexpensive stands to leave up all season or beyond. I like the dual ratchet straps.

Best Value, Good Quality
I don't think you will find a better hang on stand for less, it's priced right. I hunt on public land so I'm not going to buy a $200+ stand to have a determined thief steal it from me. It's not aluminum like the expensive stands but compared to other steel stands I think is reasonable light weight. The platform has ample space to stand and rest your feet.3 minor things I'm not too crazy about, one is the ratchet straps, they're loud so I will be replacing them with cam lock straps. The second is the seat, about 1 inch so not comfortable for a long seating. I will add a foam cushion, right now I'm using a hot seat. Last, mine didn't come with the straps to carry it on your back, what I did was remove the straps from 2 bags, clip them to the platform in order to carry it on my back. These are all minor things that anyone can overlook.P.S. I use an extra heavy duty cam lock strap as a security measure. I plan to leave it on locked to a tree this season, I will update this review after this season is over if the stand breaks/fails. I will also check all the bolts, cables, sand any rust spots and paint it for next season.

Great deal on solid stand
Great value for a sturdy stand. Needed a lock on for those places I cannot use my climber. Read a lot of comments saying cables were different lengths. Before I trust my life to something (esp. if made in China), I will take apart and inspect. My finding on cables was simply that if they arrive tightened and set at different angles they will appear to be different lengths. Once “lined up” they were the same. I put it on a tree and it's very solid and very quiet. Paint job was fine and I personally camo painted mine so no need to worry about rust. Will actually order two more bc I can have more options for different places and I’m very impressed for the price.

I've killed deer from these stands but in my opinion they are throw away lock ons unless you want to put a better quality cable
I've bought several of these primarily to put in areas that I was worried about a stand getting taken. You can't beat the price but the seat is uncomfortable and the cables will rust. I had one out all last season and this year went to go put it up and checked the cable and I could literally twist the cable until it broke because it was rusted through (after a single season). I've killed deer from these stands but in my opinion they are throw away lock ons unless you want to put a better quality cable on it but then you're better off buying one a little more expensive at a better quality. Not trashing these stands but safety is more important to me than a bargain.

bought 3 last year 2012
I bought one last year before Hunting season then decided to buy two more because they get the job done and for a bargain...last year they were like $32.97 but plus $8.99 shipping so when I saw free shipping this year 2013 I jumped on it ....and just bought my 4th one.if you dont care about keeping up with all the hunting trends and or need a super light wieght aluminum and just want a functioning set up this is it!!!!!!! I am very happy with all my stands so far and will let you know if this new 4th one is a let down or if is the same as my other three from last year....Oh and thought I should say that I did have to purchase some extra plastic washers to keep it extra quiet but besides that it is what it is....good deal as far as I am concerned.

Will update when it gets cold during season but first impression hanging it in my yard I was really impressed. For the money and putting this out on public land I don't think you will get a better deal. There are plastic washers in all of the moving parts, I haven't heard it make any noise yet. Straps are both secured to the stand so you have to run the strap through the rachet every time you install it. I replaced the straps for a regular rachet strap as mine were a little short for the tree I was in. Overall highly impressed and will buy more.
