Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease Recycled, Yarn for Crochet, Royal Blue, 1 Pack

My beginner yarn, where I practice. Feels thinner than a 4mm since I’ve now purchased other brands same size but I love it. Sturdy, does not tangle and looks great. Won’t give you volume on projects at all because its thin but very pretty.

Lion brand yarn is very good for mending wool clothing such as wool sweaters and socks. The packet size is just right to have on hand for when my husband gets his favorite wool sweater caught on something, making a hole. This Lion Brand yarn is fine enough to use for darning and is easy to get through the eye of a needle. It's very smooth. A great feeling material, easy to get going and doesn't catch on the hooks. It's a good quality and the perfect dark blue color. It knots a little if you dont have it ready fo go. It blends well with other materials I have as well. I will definitely purchase again.

The yarn is lovely and soft but it’s a lighter weight that regular wool ease, seems more like dk weight so it will not work for what I wanted

CAUTION - This yarn is called out as a #4 wt. yarn. It is not. I cannot even consider it as a light #4. It is by far, not even close to that. It is more of a heavy #2. Very thin, and the skein for 3oz is a little bigger than the size for a 50 gm ball of sock wt. yarn. It's overall properties are much like the Caron Simply Soft brand. Slick and shiny, not toothy and wool like as the regular Wool Ease.Was very disappointed in what I got.Cannot use it for the project it was intended.It got 3 stars only for its nice color.
