The media could not be loaded. Made quick work pulling out a sea of dog fennel in Florida that would otherwise have been back breaking. Product is heavy solid steel and made in the USA, so worth every penny of the hefty price, IMHO. As for the review about it sinking into the ground, putting a simple wooden board on the ground and using that for leverage fixes everything.

Very easy to use. Holds saplings secure.

The device uses a leverage to pull up small diameter (under 3/4" ) tree and shrub trunks. If the ground is not very firm, the base sinks in and it looses its mechanical advantage.

Works as expected, be prepared to dig down around the root to grip it in the jaws. Once you grip it the root will be gone easily. Helps to water the area a good 15 minutes ahead of extraction.

Worked better than advertised

This works like a charm, easy to use, built like a tank which is why it's nice and heavy.

This came in free of charge through the Amazon Vine program. I’ve had no direct contact with Amazon Vine or the manufacturer and these opinions are my own.This works great! We've had quite a few sapling trees popping up, and this takes them out with just a little effort. It does tend to snap off smaller saplings (1/2" or smaller in diameter), but if the trunk holds it has no problem pulling up the roots.
