Works and looks great!
I purchased this from one of Amazon's 'Used, like new' options. It was literally about 1/4 of the price and really was like brand new. The shower head has a perfect spray pattern in my opinion and just performs great. Well worth the money I spent for it and would be worth the regular price as well.

Works BETTER than expensive showerheads !
A handyman friend of ours warned us : if you choose to have a huge (and expensive) showerhead, each little "jet" of water will probably NOT be flowing water strongly, and you will not be able to rinse soap or shampoo bubbles off quickly. That was sufficient to get me to dare to order this relatively inexpensive and "low technology" / "retro" showerhead. It works ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY.It was easy to remove the internal plastic flow restrictor thing, even though I am not at all "handy" with these sorts of things. I used needle nose pliers. I did accidentally break off part of the flow restrictor before successfully yanking it out, but this did not matter. It was still easy to grab the remaining portion of the (now damaged) flow restrictor, and pull it out.(And, in case anyone reading this is upset about me wasting water -- we have a separate, stainless steel, shower flow restrictor with a little turn crank on it ... installed. I highly recommend those things, too.)My only complaint about this showerhead is : you cannot swivel it / "angle" it around quite as much as some other (much more expensive) showerheads. But, this deficiency is minor.

Very durable head providing nice spray with little water!
I just ordered this to replace another showerhead that flows way to much water for my system. I have this showerhead on 2 other showers already and they work great with my water system. I am on a well and if you are also, I would recommend this head. It provides a wide even spray while using less water and hot water volume from your water heater or boiler heating coil. The nice feature of this head is that you get a full cone of spray, no “Halo” or in another way no hollow cone of spray. The center of the head also has good nozzle coverage. I do get unlimited hot water unless more than one shower is in use then it will go cool. This head conserves the hot water while allowing your family or guest's a very long time in the shower. This limits my water and hot water use to 2.5 GPM which is perfect on a well water system and a boiler hot water coil. The individual spray stream nozzles are rubber and you can flex them with your fingers if you get one that is plugged by minerals. I have been using my other 2 Moens for years now and finally replacing this head now. The whole head seems to be well made and shiny chrome finish. If you do have a well water system this may be your head! I see some want the flow restrictor out however I like that it limits the gallons and makes it easier for the hot water supply to keep up. I will sure buy these again if I have the need, however my other ones have been going for years now. I will update this review if I get more information on the longevity of the head. I don't see any problem with that at the present time.

simple,functional
We needed to replace the showerhead for a rental condo. I wanted it to be simple, functional and ideally long lasting so bought the Moen brand. I purposely avoid a shower head that had too many settings, complicated configuration thinking that the more parts to a fixture, likely more parts that can break and need to be replaced in the future.

Great shower head
Right size and great water pressure after I removed the restrictor. The Moen 6300BN brushed nickel color perfectly match our Moen brushed nickel bath/shower faucet. Love it.

Quiet and Plenty of Output
I bought this to replace the original shower head in our guest bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet this one is compared to the original. It also seems to put out more, yes more, water as well. The spray pattern is even and much more defined than my old one. Very happy with this purchase.

Good shower head improves low water pressure flow
I purchased the Moen 6300 shower head after trying out 3 other shower heads without success. I am on well water and the water pressure in our house is low so I was looking for a shower head that would improve the water pressure in the shower. This Moen shower head did the trick. It has a good, strong flow and fairly wide spray pattern of approximately 12 inches. If you have low water pressure, I would recommend removing the flow restrictor as other reviewers have mentioned. The flow restrictor is a green piece of plastic just below the threaded section that attaches to the shower arm. I did have a little difficulty removing this piece but it did come out eventually. I tried needle nose pliers as others have mentioned but this did not work for me -- I kept breaking off the pieces of plastic with the pliers. I ended up having to drill a hole in the plastic and was able to pop out the restrictor by using the drill bit while it was still embedded in the restrictor. I highly recommend this shower head

No running around
This is a fine shower head out of the box and I would actually give it 4.5 stars. It replaces one that had a cone that was too big and dispersed the water too much. I dislike having to run around to get wet. This product largely solves that problem. And it has potential for improvement. Another reviewer writes that he removed a little part and that improved the flow.

Great quality. Fantastic Value
Fantastic and simple shower head. I got frustrated that the local stores only carried the complicated adjustable "massage" type models. I am convinced that nobody in the history of the human race has enjoyed any of the modes on those heads other than "shower". This is a simple and small shower head with a single pattern that is very pleasing. One note of caution. A lot of reviews mention removing or drilling out the water restrictor to improve flow. I did this without trying it first. I have very good pressure in my home and my shower control does not allow me to adjust pressure (it's just on or off). The resulting spray is a little too much. I wish I would have tried it first but for $12.00, I may just order a 2nd one.

Good Pressure
The Packaging1. Came in a cardboard box with bubble wrap and instructions. No space wasted. The Product1. The water pressure on this is good.2. The finish is smooth.3. The fittings hold up and didn't snap under my wrenches.4. It stays snug but the direction change over time gets smoother without compromising the seals or anything (so far).Overall 5/5My new apartment came with the "eco" version of this which is I believe 1.75 or something and that thing is more like a mister than a shower. This one does the job. Funnily enough the rating , 2.5, is the same highly rates high pressure ones but is much nicer. Pricier for sure but if you're concerned about over tightening and the thing snapping this will be better.

Poor quality build. You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for. I was expecting decent quality considering it’s a Moen and that I’ve trusted the brand for many years in 4 homes. Instead I feel Moen cheaped out on even basic quality. First, the grey plastic face isn’t fixed…it somehow manages to rotate inside the chrome plated shell before you can rotate it on its ball joint. Next, the connector actually deforms with a smooth crescent wrench on its final turn leaving a sharp jagged edge. Finally, despite a proper fresh Teflon thread on the shower arm and a proper install, the head leaks. Quickly reinstalled my old head with another fresh Teflon thread seal and had no problems. Sending this back. Disappointing quality and waste of my time.

good quality
I like the quality of the product sturdy and very easy to install and yes the water stream is a little weak but that is what it is supposed be like. That is why it is a energy saver product, you can turn your tap a little bit higher for more pressure. I know people have said to drill out the center spout for more water pressure but that is defeating the purpose of the product. It is supposed to help conserve water and help with your water meter if you have one but that is my opinion not trying to influence your decision I would by this product again

Seems a good balance of cost and quality
Out of the box the shower head felt weighty, indicating some metal components, which at this price point was welcome. Specifically, the threaded connector appears to be metal, and if not, is quite thick. Our previous shower head broke at the connector, which was made of thin plastic. The head is fairly compact with rather neutral aesthetics. The nozzles appear to be silicone, so hopefully resist clogging from our hard water. Difficult to say if the internals have similar resistance. The water flow itself is fairly gentle and comfortable. It's definitely not a 'massage' type and nowhere near the pin-prickly experience available from other heads. It's rated at 2.5GPM... I can't verify that, but it seems to have higher flow than our previous head, the Waterpik 3-Setting Shower Massage, also rated at 2.5GPM. In other words, the Waterpik required less water pressure to spray a similar distance. This based on the amount of water pooling in our slow-draining tub with the head running at a comfortable flow. Apparently Moen offers lower-flow versions, available at some of the big-box stores, which I might try for comparison. If you have low water pressure, my guess is this head probably won't be suitable. Another minor quibble is its swivel range - it's OK, but not great. Being over 6 feet, I have to tilt it up as high as it will go and stand a bit closer than I did with the Waterpik.
