I've had my eye on this fireplace heater for over a year now, and finally ordered it as an early family Christmas gift for our living room. I absolutely love it. I can't imagine the room without it anymore. The flames are stunning - we have ours mounted on an accent wall that is painted a dark blackberry purple, so we leave the flames on the purple/red/blue setting. The color options are lovely and the crystals make the non-traditional flames look magical. They definitely do not look like real flames, but they also do not look like cheap or tawdry party lights. The heat setting works well, and does bring up the temperature in our fairly large room, though it takes some time. I like that it has a high and a low option, most of the time I just set it on low to help keep the room a bit warmer because the thermostat is on the other side of the house and our sliding door can make our living room a bit too cool. It was easy to install, and while I originally planned to build a false wall to put it on so that we could inset it, we mounted it directly on the existing wall and I like it just fine that way. We won't be wasting any floor spacing building out a false mantle. We've had our fireplace for about a month now, and so far are incredibly pleased.

I purchased two of these fireplaces, in different sizes, two years ago for a rehab project. The project was drawn out a little longer than necessary and both fireplaces were just installed a couple weeks ago. The fireplaces are both beautiful and function as described. The only issue was the remote for one of the fireplaces. As many others have stated, it simply did not work. I read other customers had indicated they had reached out to Touchstone and were promised a replacement remote. It also appears that Touchstone is not only aware of the remote issue, but actually actually acknowledged the issue, but still did not follow up on replacements.So, I avoided the request for a "free" replacement. I simply purchased a new report from Touchstone for $35. It worked just fine. The remote arrived quickly.

The media could not be loaded.  I built a fireplace wall and shelves specifically for this Touchstone 50” fireplace! It was an easy build and the fireplace fit perfectly. I absolutely love the crystals opposed to the faux logs. Oh and the ability to change the color of lights and flames with the remote is amazing 🤩. However, after about a month of use it is now knocking on the inside and I fear I will have to remove it, open it up. Can’t run it without the faux flames, which I think is the cause, something churning to create the flames

First, I think it is a very attractive unit that produces quite believable flame visuals. The variety of color options are nice, however, I wish there was an option to dim the base. Or have a true RGB led setup to customize the flame and base setup with significantly larger color options. The log base, in my opinion, looks out of place and has a strange arrangement. I would have preferred smaller logs that are placed in a more realistic manner. I opted to use the clear "crystals."A few notes:Shipping:My unit arrived and appeared undamaged however when testing the unit prior to install, there was a very annoying knocking sound. Upon further inspection, I discovered that the back panel that the flames reflect onto had shifted out of it's intended location. Once I forced it back into it's location, the knocking stopped. I imagine this happened due to rough handling by UPS.Install:I built my wall specifically for this unit so I followed the dimensions listed in the manual for the recess. I added 1/8" just to be sure. Even with this addition, it was a very tight fit. However, the most annoying part about this install was that the manual/diagram fails to indicate that you need additional space at the top for the glass to properly install. I had to remove approximately 1/2"x24" slot in the drywall directly top center of the opening to get it installed. If I installed another unit, I would create the opening 1/4" wider and 1/2" taller.

This fireplace warms a small bedroom quickly, and it is just beautiful. This was bought for an Autistic person for multiple reasons, including replacing a “Motion Picture” and it succeeded expectations. The only problem was a bit of a learning curve with the remote, and the instructions. Not really an issue once the temperature is set up where you want it. It was packed great, everything worked. Unless you need a high quality remote, this is probably one of the best fireplaces on the market, especially for the price.

Love the color choices for the logs and flame. Only complaint would be how fake the logs look and the arraignment of them. Going to try adding the crystals to see how that looks. It is a piece of cake to install. Just build the enclosure you want or hang it on the wall and plug it in. We built out the wall and did a stacked stone display.We originally bought a cheaper unit that was almost identical but it had major issues out of the box. We are confident in this product and happy we selected the 60 inch model

This looks great. I purchased a new home and decided I wanted a recessed wall mounted fireplace for under my TV. This looks great, easy to use, gives off great warmth for my space and sets a nice relaxing mood. I really like if you just wanted to have the effect of a fireplace without the heat, you can do that too for entertaining purposes. Customer service is also A++... they reached out to me shortly after purchase to see how I liked the product. I asked a question and within less than 24 hours, I received a response. Highly recommend!!!
