Excellent Product
Excellent product! My tailgate isn't slamming down any more. This thing smoothens the tailgate lowering process. It's light and the fit is just perfect.

Works as advertised
Easy to attach to pre existing hole of 2019 Tundra, thought I was short a part which wasn’t actually needed, because I was looking at U tube and U tube had extra steps and used parts that weren’t needed and made it look more difficult to attach.

Works well but don’t use 2 of them!!!
If you used two of these on your truck, it causes your tailgate to pop out of socket. I ended up having to send one back due to this. One is plenty to get it to go down slowly. Fit was easy and I love that it slows down the tailgate instead of slamming down.

Missing part smh man
Man i just order it monday came yesterday and putting it on today, its missing the screw that you need to connect it to the tailgate im returning it now

Can fit 1st Gen Tundra too!
I bought this with the goal to modify to fit the 1st gen Tundra (2000-2006). The bracket works perfectly where the cable attaches and the ball threads into the tailgate just fine as well. Turned out that if you remove the boot on the strut, it cleared the tailgate nicely and works just fine on my 2004 double cab. Nice little addition!

This is probably one of the products you don’t need but like to have. It was easy to install and works flawlessly! Very wife friendly costs as well!
