Long ago I got over the fact that these Lionel Trains are no longer manufactured in America, maybe that will change in the future. Presently, though imported, the quality of Lionel Trains has seen improvements of late. As a long time collector of Lionel, both Post-War and Modern Era, this Santa Fe set is a beautiful addition to my collection. The set arrived in great shape albeit loose in an oversized box, and it was easily unpacked and set up within 15 minutes. Outside of a few couplers on the passenger cars having been shaken loose from a long journey, they were easily popped back into place and the train runs great. Good sound, good control, and very smooth running along the FasTrack of my layout. The price, below MRP, was a bargain and I look forward to proudly running this train. Even better, this review was entirely composed by me without the assistance of AI.

I've been addicted to Lionel model trains since 9 years old and I'm currently 70 years old! I liked this "Santa Fe" model trainset so much that I bought extra Track, Switches, Silver Cars and finally, I even purchase Lionel's other flagship model train, the "Polar Express" which features a Steam Locomotive! You could never go wrong with this purchase!

This is amazing train for the price. It has blue tooth, track sounds , cars light up. Great train if you been looking for one for yourself or gift for someone.

This Train is amazing the new fast track is much better then the old 027 track BUT If you're like me and had a lionel for a while you probably want to use the new track with you're old trains! It works with a catch. The new power brick for this track go's straight from the wall to the track meaning if you use any trains that don't have a remote or basically the old trains that only work with the transformers you're out of luck Unless U are lucky enough to have a plug that fits into the power port on the track (or are willing to strip the new plug it comes with) and also have a transformer to put on the new track! All you do is strip the wire where the plug is put the wires to the transformer and BAM All trains now work on the transformer just make sure then you use the train that come with this track you put it on 100% power so the remote and Bluetooth app works as it should. But yes I highly recommend this train set to anyone new or already into the trains they are a blast to watch and enjoy

I decided to upgrade from the battery operated model to fully electric. 1) I liked the HO size but could not find a model with coach that was electric that I liked so I settled for the O Guage. Note, the locomotive is heavy. This is pretty big for my under the tree village. 2) it took almost 2 hrs to connect the dots and get it running Apparently if it’s not properly on the track it won’t move or light up and the track charge light won’t come on either.. Coupling the carts was difficult as well. 3) it’s a bit loud so I won’t run it for more than 2hrs if that long. 4) I recommend getting extracts out the gate.I’m a female over 60 , I’m looking forward to building on it and see how grows by next Xmas.
