If you’ve got kids or a 16 yr old dog that sleeps in your bed 🙋🏼‍♀️, chances are someone has peed or vomited on your bedding. Super gross, but this is real life, friends. It’s just a fact that you’re going to have to remove the mattress cover, from time-to-time, to wash it.Now, I love a waterproof zip-on cover that fully encases the mattress because it keeps it pristine and protects it from mites, allergens, bed bugs, and the aforementioned bodily fluids. The zipper is a big part of that. But getting the mattress cover on and off is one hell of an ordeal. I have stood on my adjustable bed frame, contorted my body in ways I didn’t know I still could, rested part of the mattress on my back, you name it…all part of the struggle to get one of these covers on without help. These covers typically slip on the mattress at the top, like a pillow case, and the zipper runs the length of the other three sides. So you’ve got to systematically lift up the mattress and yank the cover down as far as you can reach from that position…working your way around the entire mattress until the cover is aligned enough to zip it up. This is not easy. There will be sweat. Really, it should be an Olympic sport.Enter this fabulous new design: The zip-off top! Holy crap, my mind is blown. No more contorting, lifting, yanking. Now, I can simply zip off the top to wash it, leaving the bottom portion in place, without having to move the mattress. Putting it back on is just a matter of holding up the sides of the cover to align with the top and re-zip. Genius!Do yourself a favor and buy this thing. It’s mattress protection against all the things - minus the acrobatics.

I bought this exact Cover about 6 months ago, because it had zipper top AND it is liquid resistant.It works great. Exactly as described.

It's a clever design and seems well made, once I got it. My only issue is that it's not deep enough for any kind of padding on a deep mattress. It fits the mattress but not the integrated topper, because when we zip it up, it squishes the topper really tight, kind of negating the topper's purpose. I love a firm bed, but I need the topper for side sleeping. I may try to tweak the product myself to make some room.

Just got this item, so no idea of its durability. The zipper seems cheap, but the real test is time and liquid. Will update if there are any issues.

I will never again buy any other mattress protector. I will say Allerease has been the best I have found but this new zip off top technology is going to be a life Saver. I've had to remove these things way too many times to wash and well now I only have to zip off the top. It was also very easy to put on the mattress and it's very thick and sturdy.

I’ve owned multiple of this exact brand and product and never had an issue with the fit. Something has however changed so it is poor quality and sizing now. The materials are thinner and cheaper- the zipper also. It doesn’t even begin to cover the mattress- for reference my mattress is 13 inches deep, the specification said it allows for up to 14 inches for the full size (my guest bed size). It’s bizarre to me, I don’t know if I got a defective product or what

Ok, so this thing was a pain to put on. But they all are! The best part about it is the zip off cover combined with purchasing a product from a brand I know and trust. I have major dust mite allergies, and am so glad they make this product. My ~18" deep mattress had no trouble fitting into this covering.
