Reston Lloyd Melamine Serving/Ottoman, Rectangular Tray, Cherry Blossom

I wanted this to carry my evening tea supplies (tea pot, cup, carafe of hot water, and possibly a glass of water) to the couch. I looked at multiple products and decided on this one because it was an attractive product with a reasonable price. I wasn't sure how often I'd use it, so I didn't want to pay $40 for one. At the same time, some of the cheaper versions just weren't very attractive. I've had this for a few days now and I'm very happy with it.As I said, it's attractive. The cherry blossom design is very subdued. It looks nice sitting on the table and just using it is pleasant. As an added bonus, it also matches the cherry blossom pattern on my tea pot. It wipes off fairly well, but I worry that certain things (like tea or coffee) might stain the white surface if left on long enough. It's also thin enough to store easily, if you felt the need. It's decorative enough that it could be left sitting out, though. I like this pattern enough that I'm looking into buying other products from this line.It's surprisingly sturdy. I use it to carry a small tea pot, a glass of water, a cup, and a 2 quart carafe full of water. It feels like it could easily hold more, though I would probably be a little skeptical of using it to carry an extremely heavy item. The handles on the site are comfortable. Also, while the surface is completely smooth, it isn't overly slippery. I don't worry that anything will slide or spill while I'm carrying it, but it's not going to offer a lot of traction.I can't comment about durability, since I've only recently started using it. Nothing about it makes me anticipate any problems. I'm already considering buying another tray like this, since it's an extremely convenient thing to have around the house and the price is pretty low. For just carrying drinks or snacks back and forth, I would recommend the product to anyone.Edit on 2/4/11: I've had the tray for eight months and I can comment on a couple of issues that concerned me in my initial review. Even after letting tea dry overnight (or a little longer sometimes), it still wipes off very easily with just a damp cloth. It's definitely durable, since I haven't had any problems with it over several months of use. I ended up buying a second one and I'm still very happy with my purchase.

This is a plastic tray by Corelle that is attractive. It does look like the photo, except a touch duller. The first tray I received had a cracked holder. Amazon was very good to send out a new replacement. I am waiting for a mailing label to return the broken one. I am only given this three stars, because I am considering how others might prefer ovenware. I would myself, but knew this was plastic. I have a cherry blossom tree in my house (fake), so it matches well.Trays are wildly expensive when looking around, so this item is not overpriced in comparison shopping. Wood trays are terribly more expensive. If this matches your decor as it does my own, you will be very happy as I am. Four stars for the lack of quality control (I received a broken tray the first time). Amazon was very good but the exchange, but I still have to bother with the return.

This is such a beautiful tray. I bought a lovely teapot and mugs while in England on vacation and wanted a tray that would match and the Corelle Coordinates Cherry Blossom Rectangular Tray matched beautifully!! With it being made of durable melamine, it is very lightweight and super easy to clean. And best of all, it makes my English teapot look even more elegant.

I bought this to match cups that I believe will complete it.And an awesome teapot.This is really light weight and easy to clean. As well as roomy for a tea set for one or two.

This is a lovely serving tray. it is easy on the hands to carry. the only problem with it is that it is slippery, so I have to be very careful not to tip it when carrying. great for clearing the table. I would recommend to a friend.

I may have misread the description, I thought this tray was going to be out of Corelle. It is a plastic tray. The pattern matches, but I was a little disappointed in the material for the money.

I wondered at the price, but when it came, I could see why it was more than I intended to spend. It is heavier and sturdier than any of my other similar trays. We eat in the family room often, and I insist upon a tray. Though no one has adopted it yet (we all have our favorites), I believe it will serve for a long time. Hahahah, did ya catch that pun.?

I have two other patterns - these cherry blossoms are by far my favorite. Now I have three interlocking trays, lightweight, easy to clean, good quality! I use them at the tv.

I bought these as a gift for my grandparents having bought another pattern previously for a gift for others. The trays are lightweight but strong enough to put dishes on to serve lunch or dinner if you are not eating at a table. The pattern is nice and they are very easy to wash.
