Teacher Created Resources Treasure Chest with Lock and Key (TCR6054)

Perfect for what I needed. Used it as decoration and a dropbox for greeting cards/envelope gifts at a Harry Potter themed party. It's lightweight because it's plastic. It comes with a plastic lock and key that work. Shipping was timely, packaging was sufficient.

Pictures make it look well made, and for a $30 plastic box it should be. Came broken, which I understand happens in shipping but then the lid came off the hinges. I’ve spent hours trying to glue this hunk of trash together because my kid needs it for a project. Save yourself the money and time, skip on this one.

I like it but it came broke the lock piece came off. I fixed it with nail glue, its not a good quality box but for my classroom its good enough to store toys and gadgets in. I am planning to paint the gold parts more gold after that it will be perfect!

Is very fragile, not well put together. Very disappointed

Bought to bury for a treasure hunt. Love the size because you can fit a fair amount of trinkets & treats in it (important to any treasure hunt, lol). The hinge isn't super sturdy, we guessed in case you couldn't get the lock to work because it is a little tricky. We purchased a separate mini lock & key to solve that, so for quality it seems a little higher priced, but I haven't found one like it elsewhere, so overall we satisfied.

Extremely cheap and thin plastic. The part that the lock goes through was broken off when I received it. The gold paint was over sprayed onto the brown part. Just really disappointed with the quality for what the cost is. I'd say it was maybe worth $10, but nothing more. I returned it.

The claps to hold the lock came broken, but some hot glue fixed it right back. Solid size and does what’s needed

The lock was broken-there is no latch that is supposed to be on the top part of the chest is missing so it doesn’t latch. You can put the lock in the bottom part but since the top latch part is missing, it doesn’t actually lock. Other than that the chest was quite nice.
