Earthquake Walk Behind String Mower with 160cc Viper™ Engine, 45901

I have used this to cut high weeds for the last several months. It usually starts on the first pull and has never stalled. It uses large cord which lasts far longer than the thin cord used in hand held trimmers.

Great for weeds, tall grass, I wouldn't recommend it for black berries or heavy bamboo though. Runs strong, just don't plan on going on any wild angled hills. But it's worth every penny!

Writing this review 5 hours after receiving the equipment. Delivery was fantastic--got it less than 24 hours after ordering--and the box was in great shape. Unboxed it, went and bought a small (1.25 gal) gas can (which I filled with zero-ethanol 87 unleaded), a quart of Mobil 10W 30 pool and some extended funnels, then came home and set up the cutter (attach 1 piece with 4 provided screws, then position the handle where you want it and tighten the adjustment knobs). Fill with oil (btw, it actually comes with a small bottle of oil, but I didn't realize that until later), fill with gas, prime it, then pull the recoil starter cable. It's that easy.Onto the performance aspect of the tool...I have close to a half acre that I've "let go." All manner of southern vegetation occupies this area now, so it is a fairly challenging task for a string mower right out of the gate. Add the uneven and unpredictable terrain, and it also becomes a challenge for the operator as well.I started my trimming with the challenging terrain, but manageable weed portion of my yard first... and I had a smile plastered on my face the whole time. This thing chewed through the weeds like they were nothing, as if to say, "Is that all you've got?"Well, no... that wasn't all I had, and the rest of my weed/tall grass mowing really pushed this machine to it's limits. While I'm still impressed with this string brush cutter, it was no match for the ridiculously dense, tall grass that I had to tackle. But I set my expectations accordingly when ordering this (it was a decision between dropping close to $500 on a string mower or $3,500 on a bladed brush cutter like DR Power or Billy Goat... I chose this in the end with no illusions about what I would be asking of it), and I'm not disappointed in the least.I did have to fill the gas tank up 3 times to handle the portion that I did (it's still not completely done yet), but for a tank that holds less than a quarter of a gallon and the work that I had it do, it was no surprise and not a big deal.I had to change the string once during use, but really, it should have been twice, as at the end, when I decided to call it quits, my cutting swath was probably down to 9 or 10". I'm going to level up my string game and try the A ANLEOLIFE 1-Pound ZT3 Pro Heavy Duty Diamond .155-Inch-by-148-ft Twisted Trimmer Line to see if that will provide more cutting power and last longer.Overall, though, I'm very impressed with this mower, and don't regret my purchase decision.

The trimmer worked very well through thick brush

I purchased this as a gift for my adult son, first of all the product shipped with a faulty filter. The company did ship a replacement filter and the machine started and ran well. Upon trying to use the machine to cut overgrowth foilage, the debris wrapped around the spool and the line kept breaking. Contrary to the “alleged” videos posted by “supposed” customers stating the product worked great. That is a LIE! “Then” I attempted to send the Earthquake Walk Behind string weedeater back…….AMAZON referred my to The Manufacturer “Earthquake via Ardisan”. I just spoke to the Ardisan customer service department and they advised that the machine could NOT be returned because it had been “used”!!!! Well…….how ELSE are you suppose to know if the machine is going to WORK as advertised?!?!?!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This machine does NOT function as advertised (FALSE ADVERTISEMENT) and DO NOT trust the video reviews posted on line “they are OBVIOUSLY posted by bad actors”!!!! The bottom line is THIS EARTHQUAKE WALK BEHIND WEED TRIMMER is at best a $470.00 weedeater and does NOT cut down tall foilage as advertised.UPDATE: Thank goodness for Amazons Customer Service Dept. They fully refunded my money! Kudo’s to Amazon……and SHAME ON Earthquake Products (won’t ever purchase from them again) Lousy Customer Service!

The media could not be loaded. This is by far probably the best piece of lawn equipment I ever bought. Part of back yard has this slope and over grown with some kind of undesirable grass. It was horrible looking at it. A friend told me this what he uses on his pasture fence line. He said this would work better than my weed trimmer and man was he right. I added the oil, flew to the gas station and bought non ethanol gas. My intentionwas to make sure it worked, I couldn’t resist and went straight to that hill like our loose cat. I knocked down that tall grass in a matter of minutes about 20. I was so impressed I almost couldn’t stop cutting. This an amazing machine boys and girls trust me. Out of the box just simply set up your handle. I love the feature that you don’t have to shut it off when not actually trimming. Some others turn off the you have to restart. Not this one, It just sit an idle until you are ready to cut. It’s super light and easy to push. The mowing height can be adjusted as well. I didn’t adjust. Just let it down easy or you will be hitting dirt 🤗. I’m also laying sod no more tall weed grass. My babe was like man this looks great. You can do any job with the right tool(s). I want to use it again but the tall weed grass is gone for this year. Now I can see any snakes and other unwanted critters trying to hide out. Can wait until next year.
