These are not the soft shredded squid that most people get at an Asian market. These are the kind your teeth will have to fight for. If you dont like stuff like really hard dried jerky then this prob isn't for you.

I thought I loved squid, but it would turn out that I only love calamari. Because these dried squid were a bit too pungent for me. My wife on the other hand, LOVED them. Much to the chagrin of my daughters and me, who she would chase around the house while eating these trying to give us smelly kisses LOL. For the laughs alone I would say to give these a try. If you like them, then you have found a wonderfully nutritious snack! If not? Then its not like you're out much, but can say you at least tried!

I am usually a huge fan of dried squid but these were so hard to chew. I tried eating it as is and also heating it up over the stove, but both ways were still very hard. The flavor was definitely there, but it was way too tough to be able to enjoy eating them.

I love jerky (usually beef) and I love seafood (all of 'em), so what could be better than these chewy snacks that are basically calamari jerky. They are super chewy, and they taste really good. If you are only a so-so fan of seafood, don't buy, but if you love seafood, this is just another cool way to consume it.I had to make myself stop eating it. It is expensive, but I think of this like I think of beef jerky in comparison to other snacks: it's worth the cost.

this Swashbuckle Snacks Hard-Dried Roasted Squid snack made in Japan for those who love dried fish/squid this one is a quality product. The bag is sealed well but once opened the smell is intense!!!! The squid is the right size pieces to chew, microwave to soften or cut up and add to stir fries for a fishy added taste. If you are in the market for dried squid this is for you. If you haven't had dried squid, it is very salty and very fishy so please know that!
