These little already started herb plants came packaged securely and very healthy.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose these herbs because I wanted to have fresh ingredients in my recipes. I had tried to grow them from seeds, and did not have much luck. So when I spotted herbs that were already started in little pots, I ordered them and hoped for the best. They came looking perfectly healthy. No dry soil and not a dry leaf anywhere. Evidently, I was not blessed with two green thumbs, as within two days of transplanting them to larger pots with the recommended soil, water, and sunshine, every plant started to curl up and die. I am very new to gardening, so I take all responsibility for their demise, and therefore, these beautiful little herb plants deserve all five stars, and I deserve none!

Black spots, wilted, completely dry and dusty.
The Basil plants were sent out without the same care as other plants I've gotten from Bonnie's. My suggested is to read the "most recent" reviews as well as the 1 and 2 star reviews. I've ordered Bonnie's plants before but this is the first time I've ordered Basil. Don't order the Basil plants. They are just too temperamental. I've ordered the Rosemary and also a four pack of Rosemary, Sage, Oregano and Thyme. These were very moist upon arrival and just needed a good watering and sunlight to bring them back. These Basil plants may not make it. First of all, they are about one third the size they show in the picture. Very skimpy and new looking. Each plant had 2-3 leaves and that is it. Very new and delicate. They were so dry that the dusty dry dirt shook out of their plastic containers into the box. I don't think they were roughed up, I just think that whoever is sending out the Basil is not taking the same care as the other plants. Basil needs a good watering and wrapped in plastic around the pot to keep the moisture in. Bonnie's should know this. The refund was easy though. Just go through the Chat Function.

Basil is lushes.
Beautiful healthy plants that were a bit overgrown and bending in the plastic holder, nonetheless, I put them on my deck and potted plants. I have one in my room and one in my mini greenhouse.. I love the fragrance that fills my room. I’m in the process of getting a special pot for it.

Beyond disappointed
1. The plants were not remotely as robust as they appear in the advertisement. But we have come to expect that. They were a single stem per pot.2. They arrived nearly a week later very weak. I salvaged 1 of 4 plants.Their deliver was supposed to be UPS 2nd day air.The 1 star is listed ONLY because there is NO OPTION to use NEGATIVE numbers or to leave it entirely.

Not as sturdy as I expected
Every one died. In New York I could grow fields of basil. Down here in Florida they just seem to suffer

Shame on me! Fool me once, but I bought a second set anyway.
The first set all were grown inside with liquid plant food and watered every three days on average with 4 hours of sun inside, never outside. All had black spots and withered and died. Call me stubborn, this time on the second set I followed the instructions precisely. Used Miracle Grow Indoor potting blend, only water (not water infused with Miracle Grow powder) and five hours of sun via direct light through a southern exposure window in the inside sill. Nevertheless, leaves falling off, warping and drying out, each plant dying one by one in separate 4 inch containers. Simply put these plugs from Alabama are diseased upon arrival, poorly packaged with leaves crushed and in spite of an overly optimistic website, are a waste of money and effort. Stop sending basil plugs! You only damage your already poor reputation! Just sell you plants locally and get off the Amazon site, Alabama scamabama !!
