Decent Phone
This phone has lasted me ~3.5 years. The battery still lasts ~2 days with light-to-moderate use. It Loads youtube, music, websites, & chat apps handily. The fingerprint reader could be better, but it works well enough.

I've become a certified Samsung user
My previous phone was an SG3 and although it was very outdated, it was still in good working order... until my carrier stopped providing service for that old of a phone. I shopped around for a replacement I could afford and decided to give the SG9 a shot... and I am THRILLED to say that I'm so happy with this purchase. I don't need something super fancy or expensive but this one is far better than I would have expected considering the advancements after this model.

Verizon Compatible but Not a Verizon Phone
We purchased this S9 to replace and old Verizon S6 phone that would not charge any longer. Using Amazon's search criteria for a manufacturer phone (Verizon) we came across this phone. The following are our impressions of the Renewed S9. -- APPEARS NEW: Its clean and unscratched and looks brand new to my eye. It did not come in a factory box but did include a charger, cable and poker to remove the SIM card. -- NO SIM CARD: We discovered during the activation that the phone does not have a SIM card. No problem, we were able to move the old SIM card from the S6 phone into the the S9 and it worked. -- NOT A VERIZON PHONE: We called Verizon support to assist in activating the phone. Upon providing the ID number of the phone they stated its not a Verizon phone but it is compatible with the Verizon network. I asked if there were any functional or other compromises since this was not a Verizon phone and they said as long as it was compatible with the network it will work fine. -- SCREEN PROTECTOR: The phone came with a rather thick and clumsy looking screen protector applied. When we took it to the Verizon store they said its not a Verizon screen protector. The screen protector worked well as far a finger moves and such so not a big deal. -- SUCCESSFUL ACTIVATION: After some work with the tech support people we were able to activate the phone and then using an app we were able to transfer all the contacts, apps, pictures and other information over my home network from the old to the new phone. The screen and looks different, apps are in different places but its functioning correctly and will take some time to manipulate the user interfaces to my preferences. -- NOT A BIG UPGRADE: Moving from the S6 to the S9 Id have to say was not a big upgrade. I don't notice a big speed or screen improvement and from what Ive read the battery wont even last as long as the old phone. So the only reason to move to a new phone was the trade-off of the cost of having the battery replaced in the S6. After using the S9 for a bit, a battery replacement would have been a more economical choice.

Like new in box at a fraction of most high-end smartphones
I've used just about every smartphone OS and was a long-time Blackberry user until moving to Apple around 2012. I was able to play with every smartphone OS (for work) and since Android was hit or miss back then I settled for iOS.I decided to give Android another try with the Galaxy S9. Yes, I was also very skeptical about trying a refurbished phone but given Amazon's gracious return policy I felt it was worth the risk.My received unit came in a plain white (smartphone) box and came with original Samsung accessories -- new charger, USB to USB-C cable, wired headphones and a USB to USB-C adapter. The phone itself was covered in plastic. Upon removing the plastic the phone looked to be brand new. Zero scratches or dings on the screen. Perhaps a few super-fine scratches on the back but hardly noticeable. The phone came about 80% charged and powered up with no issues. Disappointingly, the phone came with the stock Android 8.0 firmware. While connected to Wi-Fi I didn't receive any update notifications -- which was annoying. I put in my nano-SIM and again still no notifications to update. A manual update didn't work either. I started looking to flash the appropriate Android 9 image to the phone directly but after about 20 minutes I finally received a notice to update. Sadly, this was a linear process. In total, I probably did about 8 updates. A few 8.0 patches and then the large 9.0 update and then a few more 9.0 patches. It seems with Android OS you cannot just upgrade to the latest Android version. Lame. That being said, the phone has been working great with no issues. There are some quirks about Android 9 I don't like but then again there are a lot of features to like.Positives:S9 is still very fast device for 2019Gorgeous, high-resolution screen (570ppi)Faster charging (compared to my iPhone XS Max)Very lightweight and a slim profileMicroSD slotAccessories cost less. Spigen case for $13!Can have 35 icons on a single page -- no need to swipe thru multiple pagesAndroid apps seemed more refined than Apple apps and usually have more features/optionsAndroid OS can be customized to user's likingNegatives:A lot of useless Samsung bloatware. I don't need this crap. Fortunately, it can mostly be hidden or disabled. The speakers are not very loud. Even at full volume it's hard to hear when driving around.Curved screen. Just don't like it. I notice newer Samsung phones are going back to flat screen. Yay!Sound setup in Android OS is a bit wonky. Included sounds are pretty generic and lame. Needs customization.Camera is good but Android software is too busy; need to consolidate settings for more simpler interface; PRO mode is very nice featureWants:Ability to remove icon text labels in Android - without having to use 3rd party utility

Warranty ISSUE!
Beware of WARRENTY ISSUE!! Advised by seller to contact Samsung to activate 2year warranty... after contacting them they told me the phone would not be covered by warranty as it is a non uk phone! Contacted seller who just told me "what I'm saying does not make sense" no help at all and did not reply to my question asking them.where the phone is from! So I have a phone with no warranty by the looks of it!Phone itself is great so far. Delivered on time and brand new. But only had it a week.Just to update - the phone is covered under warranty as long as receipt is valid.. it was a Samsung staff member that misinformed me!! Still not happy with customer services lack of patience and generic and quite rude response.. but hey great overall product. Great value for money.

Excellent 2018 flagship phone with competitive price
I received my unit a day delayed but was not caused by the seller (there was some delay in the mail hubs). Setup was relatively easy even though the default language was Deutsche. It came with an original Samsung UK wall plug outside the package. The plug inside the package was for other EU countries. Plugged in my o2 SIM and a 32GB micro SD card and it was able to read both immediately. Already 3 days in and there are no issues with the phone. Very smooth user experience and fast loading of apps. WiFi reception is excellent and is able to fully utilize the 5Ghz band. LTE reception seems to be worse than my iPhone 7 inside the flat but I haven't encountered any issues outside.

Awesome Phone, Awesome Price 👍🎅
This Galaxy S9 is 100% genuine article. The phone came with Italian as main language when phone was first switched on. A message then appeared with a yes or no response which was also in Italian, if you are not fluent in Italian just use Google translate on another device and Roberts your mother's brother. All in all great phone at AN amazing price. At the time of writing this the Galaxy S9 retailed for €850 in Ireland but I got it for £475 (€550), you really can't got wrong with that kinda saving. 100% bran-new, unopened and unused. Just the same as buying from car phone warehouse etc.. only not at ripoff prices. 1000% recommended 👍👍

Top phone at a very good price
I was sceptical because of the low price and comments made by other users on the non-UK source of this phone. Delivery was extremely fast, much quicker than advertised. My alarms went off upon seeing the box wasn't shrink-wrapped. The box was sealed with a sticker though, and all protective screen and edge plastic film was still in place. The phone itself was pre-set to Italian but this was easily changed into English. The plug for the charger was a UK 3-pin. I'm guessing the phone came via Italy and seller took the shrink-wrap off in order to change the EU plug to UK. Instruction manual was also in Italian but everything pretty much speaks for itself or can be found online. The warranty card is in English. As for the phone itself, all seems to be in perfect working order and brand new. Transferring my apps and info from an old HTC One was easy with Samsung's Smart Switch. The screen is stunning, the apps and features work lightning-quick. The only thing that bugs me a bit is how it keeps trying to make me use Samsung Pay and Bixby (the company's voice assistant). But these are minor irritations. Priced well below £500 this is an excellent deal; I got Samsung's top-end phone for a very good price, especially when compared to the newer, crazily overpriced iPhones.

Decent phone at a reasonable price
I received the s9 phone on the 18.12.18. It was a replacement for my S7. The phone came the day after I ordered it. It was a non UK phone but Samsung confirmed that it had the full 2 year guarantee. I've had the phone for only a day, so it is too early to say anything significant about it's quality. However it was relatively easy to set up. I transferred all of my previous information from my s7. Support is available from Samsung. There telephone number is 0330 726 7864.Johny Conway
