Paid for 10, received 11.
I received 11 chestnuts in peat moss. II have placed them in the fridge for stratification. I'll try to remember to update you in a few months with info on how they sprouted.

Came moldy. Not a single one sprouted

Grubs in chestnuts
During stratification process I found dead grubs in the soil sent with chestnuts. Only 2 of the 11 (an extra was in the bag) sprouted with 9 rotting in potting soil. I’ve been doing this for years with fruit trees and these are the first that rotted.

Good seeds
We’re well packaged. Been planting chestnut trees at deer lease. The seeds are not that expensive so I decided to buy some and plant them in pots. Will keep them in greenhouse till spring. Chestnuts grow pretty fast and deer like them.
