Wonderfully designed simple kids game
This is a simple kids game perfect for teaching how to understand turns, rules, and pragmatic skills related to sportsmanship. It is also pretty fun and looks really cute. Would recommend to friends with kids ages 4-6.

Fun and fast
Oaky so first I want to lavish praise on the art and design of this game! The little bugs and critters are so cute! The racing strip board is beautiful! And all of the game pieces are so well made! We play a lot of board games with our 4 and 9 year old and the ones we abandon the fastest are the chintzy ones with breakable parts. That is NOT the case here. This is a high quality game that was created with a lot of care.Design aside, the main reason we play this game several times a week is because its engaging for our preschooler and out third grader. They can play it togther with no adult supervision because the rules are easy to grasp, no reading comprehension is needed on the part of our 4 yo. But the real star is that each game session is over in 10-15 mins. The exact timespan of both my kids most days.

It's a cute and quick game for littles
This game is easy to set up but the instructions on how to play are a little confusing. It isn't one you can just set up and go. It is too hard for my daughter and she just wants to play with the little animal characters over the actual game. I do appreciate how it has another way to play to make the game more challenging for older kiddos. It is a cute idea and would be quick to play with kids who have the attention span to sit, listen to directions, and go. We are not there yet but I'm not giving up on the game. The packaging is nice and organized and easy to clean up and put away. I'm giving 4 stars for now just because of the instructions on how to play being more complicated.

Great race for young kids
This game is really good for small children. I got it to play with my 3yo and 5yo, and the pieces are chunky and big for small hands to handle. The 3yo doesn't quite get picking which die to use or any sort of strategy, but does like rolling the die and playing with the wooden animals. The alsmost 5yo does much better with the strategy of it, and it's the perfect level of challenge for that age. We play with our animal cards on the table for all to see so there's fewer upset feelings, but I can see it being fun keeping that info hidden when they're a little older. I do also like that one of the animals that no one is going for can win the game.As an adult, this game is one of the more tolerable ones to play with young kids. The art is quite nice and the theme is cute. It's easy to explain and help the little ones make decisions, and you feel invested in the outcome as much as they do. If you want to get a racing game, this is a great option for young kids that goes above and beyind rolling a die and moving, by giving kids a choice. Plus there are variants included in the box that give it more of a challenge when your kids are ready for it.

A fun game to play
I have several HABA board games that we play with my 4-year-old kid, and this time, I decided to try another publisher. Garden Getaway is a simple yet fun game. In its core, you just throw two dice and pick one of them to use as an action. The actions move a depicted figurine toward the end or move any chosen figurine backward, with the goal of being the first one to cross the finish line. It also allows to make rules more complex for older kids by introducing extra actions hidden on tiles. The design is pleasant, and all the prints are cute. I liked playing this game. The only downside I can mention is that animal cards are printed on a very thin carton, so they will probably get wrecked by kids soon. But I do recommend this game if you plan to introduce your kids to the world of board gaming.

Simple but fun
Both of my kids love this game! We played multiple times in a row the first day out of the box because the kids enjoyed it so much. Gameplay moves fairly quickly, it's extremely easy to set up and learn, and all the pieces are adorable. There are two levels for play and we haven't tried the harder way for older kids yet, but we're looking forward to it!

Fun for toddlers
I got this for my 3, almost 4 year old. He mostly enjoys the characters and rolling the dice. He doesn’t necessarily understand the strategy, but likes to roll the dice and move the pieces. We help with the strategy…can’t wait to enjoy this more when he understands better. Easy to learn and quick gameplay. Pieces are a nice quality and size for toddler hands.
