This is on the thinner side for oven mitts, but not overly so. This makes it pretty flexible and easy to maneuver. The backs of the hand pockets are not really padded, so would not provide a lot of protection. This style of mitt seems to be most useful when removing large dishes from the oven or moving large stockpots on the stove. There are other times when a single oven mitt or potholder is going to be easier to use. For me, I am happy to have this (which is attractive enough to hang on a hook on the wall) for the larger jobs, and potholders for the small ones.

We have a pair of oven gloves that have worked great for several years, but they are starting to wear out a bit and while my husband loved them, I wanted something a little easier to grab on the fly for quickly grabbing a hot pan without having to stop and get a glove on. I have seen this style of oven mitt for a while and have been curious about it, so I finally decided to give it a try.So far it has been working great! I love that I can drape it over the oven handle and it looks stylish and cute and makes it super convenient to grab and put on to get a hot pan out of the oven. The mitts themselves seem to protect my hands from heat really well and the long connected style also makes me feel like my wrists and forearms are being protected as well! The material is thick and seems to be well made, and I really like the simple, stylish black and white design. I haven't tried to clean it in the washer or dryer yet, but it looks like it should wash and dry just fine.I feel like I have seen these types of oven mitts go for much higher price, so considering this one is priced as reasonably as it is, I am very happy with the quality and style!

Overall, these oven mitts are visually appealing and big enough to hold, no matter the size of the hot objects you're using. What struck me was that even though these gloves seemed thin, they withstood the heat very well! I didn't feel warm when I pulled the hot trays and pots out of the oven. They're durable and help me feel protected when handling these hot surfaces. These are the first double oven mitts I've used, and I am so glad to have stumbled upon them. They are great for my kitchen!

This wrap around pot holder is well suited for those pulling out large casserole dishes from the oven, or dealing with large pots - such as might reused for corn or even lobster. Its wrap around design is great for protecting your hands and arms from being burned when moving large hot objects around you kitchen. I have two issues with the design - the first is that without a 'thumb' this pot holder makes difficult to do basic tasks like opening an oven door or holding on to handles. Also, the material is rough and somewhat thin, making it not as great of an insulator as I had hoped. It will be used for edge case cooking, but not part of our everyday tool set.

As a family of women with short arms, this full double mitt is quite welcome. So far its held up nicely to everything we've done, from pulling out pizzas and casseroles to hauling large bowls of soups across the kitchen. It seems well made, keeps our hands from getting too toasty, and hangs nicely from our oven handle. It has a loop midway on one side if you want to hang it from a hook as well. Will likely buy a few more of these for myself and family.
