Powell White Hand Painted 2 Drawer, 2-Door Console, 41 inches, White

After hours of browsing for the right cabinet to put in my home office, I finally realized this cabinet was the best I had seen so far. The right colors, not too deep (at 11 inches, it's actually somewhat narrow), and just the right height. Looks really nice with my other cream colored furniture.My first order of this got lost, but Amazon replaced it, and the next order showed up very quick. Amazon delivered this, and it was in a big Amazon truck. It took 2 guys to get the box onto my front door porch. Not that it was super heavy (UPS reported it at 68 pounds), but the box was super big. Thank goodness I had help getting it up to the 2nd level of my house, the box was really that big. Note: Some of the styrofoam was the kind that crumbles real easy, and sticks to everything. Have a big bag handy and break this stuff down IN the bag.The box showed damage, but the furniture is fine. I had to slightly adjust 1 door latch. My only peeve, and not even worth taking a star off, is that some of the surface areas on each side of the cabinet are a little rough to the touch.When I first opened each door, they were very "sticky". After a few days, they open just fine, so don't panic if this happens to you. The drawers do not feel like they "come out" all the way. Not in itself a big deal, but might be an issue for some people. Drawers have a thin layer of dark felt on the bottom.Because of the various reviews saying that their piece arrived damaged, I have a suggestion for un-boxing it...Don't cut the box open on it's sides. You will be tempted to do that. Put the box on it's side, and open the BOTTOM of the box. Then open the TOP of the box. Tip the box so that the bottom of the assembled unit is on the floor, and make sure the bottom box panels are out of the way. Grab the panels at the TOP of the box, and PULL the box off the furniture. By doing this, you can put the furniture BACK in if you need to. You will just need some packing tape.Also, I suggest not throwing away the HUGE amount of packing materials until you have confirmed the piece is undamaged.

I wanted a storage piece for a stair landing, and the dimensions of this fit the bill. Item arrived promptly and was packed very well. It was undamaged. The finish and painting on it is lovely. It is not the sturdiest of pieces, but I was not expecting it to be a real quality piece for furniture. However, the drawers work well, and the item is not tipsy. One front door was not screwed in correctly and is slightly off kilter from the other door. This is my only criticism. It fits my space and makes an attractive appearance on my landing, while giving me quite a bit of storage space.

I think a corner was slightly damaged in transit, but most people have a cream or off-white paint that would cover that easily. Otherwise, the cabinet arrived in perfect shape. It's very attractive and will be useful to hold many books. It also has a couple of drawers.

Beautiful piece, but so sad about the damaged corner. Not sure how it happened as this chest was packaged perfectly.

This is a beautiful piece and looks great in my bedroom. Also impressive was the way it was packaged. I paid for delivery into my house and the service was excellent.

Cabinet is lovely and great for small entry way. Piece arrived damaged (leg broken off) and was left in the building lobby which is partially exposed to the elements. My directions specified that it be delivered to the 4th floor (elevator was in the lobby). Amazon did make good and arranged for a UPS pick up and a replacement came within 3 days (delivered to 4th floor.)

Dislikes: Product arrived slightly damaged on the corner (not noticeable the way we positioned the table but still disappointing). The front two doors are askew; they close fine but they are not hung equally so there is an uneven visible gap; they look cheap on examination. Likes: the purpose of us buying this was for a narrow console table for our entryway; we really like the size (we can fit all our board games in it when we place them sideways- it is narrow enough for our hallway) and the hand painting is unique and really pretty. I looked at other consoles this size on wayfair, ballard designs, etc. and I couldn’t find anything that looked this unique for the price. Please note the doors are thinner (not heavy wood). The drawers are lined with velvet. If you are looking for a high quality material item (aka not made of particle board) this product is not for you. Overall this item is so pretty I am pleased with the product but I wish the construction wasn’t so shoddy.

The value for money is wonderful! It was very well packaged, but looks as though it was dropped on its side and broke. Too much of a hassle to replace, so I’ll keep the damaged item.
