365 by Whole Foods Market, Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, 16.9 Fl Oz

Was looking into smoke points and what oils are healthy and which are not. This has a high smoke point which is great for using it along a large heat range. Quality is good, food tastes good plus it's healthier than canola, vegetable and other types of oils in that range.

I need this sunflower oil to prepare and donate vegan full-nutrition cat and dog kibble . My kibble saves animals' lives and decreases deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. My local health food store has not been selling sunflower oil so I need to obtain it from Whole Foods/Amazon.Whole Foods must have about 50 delivery drivers on-call all the time. Their speed for deliveries is astounding.

This sunflower oil has a neutral taste and is a good cooking oil. We also use it for skin care for a child with eczema. Hopefully organic means no Roundup was used in growing the sunflower seeds. The drawback is that it comes in a glass bottle. I subscribed for monthly delivery of two bottles and they came with other subscription items. Unfortunately one unwrapped bottle broke and saturated the box and the other items. Previously when I placed a single order the bottle was well wrapped with bubble wrap and there was no breakage. I do not seem to find a way to notify Amazon for a refund or to tell them about inadequate packaging.

This review was created 6/28/24.One of my cats was getting sick of the same varieties of foods, so I decided to try some recipes for homemade HEALTHY cat food. That cat didn't like any of the recipes so, while temporarily abandoning the idea, I ran out of olive oil and used this as a replacement for medium heat cooking. The performance was equivalent to olive oils, and imparted no weird flavors to the food cooked in it. So, I've actually been cooking with this rather than wasting it.Conclusion: Even though this wasn't bought to use for myself, it ended up that way and I'm happy with it. I actually will buy again once I run out. It does add a tiny salt-like taste, but I *LOVE* salt, so I'm cool with it.

Works great in my body butter. Nice scent, good value, good product & I like the properties it adds to my product. Offers vitamin F, omegas, promotes healthy skin. Win, win, win. Will purchase again.

I purchased the sunflower seed oil to make a Spanish mushroom recipe. After using the oil for that recipe I have found many uses for the oil, especially because it does not infuse any oil flavor to the cooked food and it holds up very well to high heat. Just wish it was less expensive.

I have found organic Sunflower Seed Oil to be one of my favorite cooking oils. Unlike olive oil, which is not good to fry with due to carcinogens forming, Sunflower Seed Oil and a few other oils are high-heat oils. That means you won't endanger your body by frying with them. Most organic oils can also be used on your body as moisturizers. I sometimes pour myself a tablespoon of these organic oils. And organic olive oil is good for salads and simmering, and a spoonful now and then is good too.
