does what I needed it to do, but realized something after purchase... Needed to mount this wheel on the FACE of a wood (2x4) gate... The mounting bracket is almost flush with the wheel, meaning that when you install it, it does NOT lift the gate up enough... Had to mount another wood piece to the face that extended a bit lower than the face of the gate before I mounted the wheel to give me enough lift for the gate to work better.

I returned this particular wheel because I had ordered two and I used the one with higher weight rating. This is a great looking setup. Would certainly order down the road if needed.

I work construction and these casters have rolled over and through: extension cords, screws, gravel, 3/4" plywood,cobblestone, brick and grass. All with about 60lbs on my cart. If you've ever hit any of these items with a hard caster wheel, you know 95% of the time it stops you dead in your tracks. These are a softer rubber wheel. They will leave a mark if you drag them. (Sliding your cart sideways). Should they wear out, I will purchase them again in a heartbeat.

Used wheels on wide Rubbermaid cart (screw mount - NOT bolt/nut mount). Not recommended for narrow carts due to higher center of gravity (easier to topple over). Will need 16 washers because mounting holes are wider than those of Rubbermaid casters.

These are very sturdy, and heavy! I am building a cart to move a 400 lb. table saw around. I debated about getting pneumatic wheel casters but the reviews on most offerings were spotty. I also bought the swivel version for the project.

Would buy again
