Just a warning it isn’t real leather but certainly doesn’t disappoint. As for integrity I can’t really give a huge rating on it because I’ve only worn them like 3 times. But great craftsmanship for sure. Perfect for pirate or renaissance related stuff.

I got these boots to wear with my Ned Stark (Game of Thrones) Halloween costume. As you can see in the pic, they are really, really awesome!Fit:I'm 6 ft tall and around 200 lb. I normally wear a size 9 wide shoe, or a 9 and a half regular, depending on the shoe. With dress socks, the Medium boots were ever so slightly large. But, by the time I put a Dr Scholl's pad in each one and put on athletic socks, the fit was excellent. I wore them for several hours, mostly indoors. They were excellent to walk around in. In fact, I forgot I had them on.As far as the fit of the uppers, my ankles and calves are average, not skinny nor big. When zipped all the way up, the uppers fit like they were custom-made for me (just-right snug). I feel fairly sure that someone with larger ankles and calves may not be able to zip them. On me, the uppers stay in place (no falling down).Overall quality:Awesome, as long as you remember that you are paying for costume boots, not everyday wear. If you get a few uses out of them, and they help your costume look great, then you got what you paid for. I'm SUPER-happy with them for the money!

I knew that this was a costume accessory that wouldn’t be intended for normal wear… What I did hope for, was a product that should be able to withstand being worn to walk to a party venue, adequately last three or four hours at the party, then hold up for the walk back to my vehicle. With the extremely lightweight material, my backup plan is to carry flip flops in the coat of my pirate costume…. This way I won’t have to walk around barefoot when this footwear falls apart. For $70 I didn’t expect leather pirate boots (and the item description did say man made material)—however, at that price one could reasonably expect footwear that could function as such. A more reasonable price for this product would be in the $20 range. Save your money and buy a better product

These look and fit excellent! I've assembled a pirate costume, and this was an essential part. Not an everyday kind of boot, but the look and feel great! Women seem to be drawn to footwear, so I think when I dress up in this, they may try to sit on my lap! (Jack Sparrow, eat your heart out!)

Usually I wear a size 11.5 shoe, so I rolled the dice a bit and got a medium which is size 10-11. Turns out I have about a thumb's width of room between the end of my toe and the tip of the boot, so they must run a bit big. They're definitely on the narrow side, so keep that in mind... The one glaring thing I noticed about them when I put them on is the insoles and out-soles of the boots are plastic. Definitely buy some insoles for them. Sofsoles is a good brand - size 11-12.5 fits size Medium boots perfectly without having to cut the insoles and you can get flatter or arch support insoles. As far as the out-sole goes, if you're doing any walking indoors you WILL slide around, becase there's no rubber grip on the bottom. If you search for non-slip pads for dress shoes you can stick them to the bottom and you'll have more grip. If you're outside wearing these you should be fine... Straight out of the box I'd give these a 3 star I'd say. The "leather" and buckles part of the boot looks fantastic, but with the addition of the insoles and non-slip pads these boots deserve at least 4 stars.

These boots are even better than I was hoping for!!I bought them because I wanted to use them for my Musketeer look this Fall and the reviews were excellent. I must say they are perfect for me. $61 for these boots was an outstanding deal! The leather is smooth, smells great, and is pliant to the wear. The zipper on the inseam of the boot is easily hidden and no one will actually know that it is there at all. The suggested fitting size was perfect and after hours of getting them worn-in, I have yet to have achy feet (although there isn't much arch support).The only negative (and it is really being grossly over-picky) is that the buckle is a bit on the flimsy-side. But that is not a big deal at all and should not sway you away from buying these!I highly doubt you could ever find a better quality paid for this low of a price! It gets a 5-Star Rating the old-fashioned way ... it earned it!!

Surprisingly good boots! They have the "feel" of leather, a nice weight and are good looking. I bought them as part of my developing pirate costume. Much nicer than a costume boot. I'm 6' 200lbs average body and normally wear size 10 1/2 medium shoe. I would say these boots are easily size 11. I tried them on barefoot. They were lose but very comfortable against the skin as I walked around. I'm sure with athletic socks I could wear them comfortably for several hours. They were roomy in the calf but not baggy lose. They have a zipper that runs from the top of the boot all the way to near the soul making them very easy to get on.
