Very Nice Large Sturdy Cotton Canvas Backpack
Yes guys, this bag is nice. If you're an insecure guy like me, don't worry about the girly name because it is not at all prominent. At least not on the black version. And this could be the small, inconspicuous marker that you and I are maturing.- Looks "Fantastic"- Large. I'm 5'11", I wanted an extra-large bag. This bag is just right for me. Fits a "good" amount of stuff. Almost too big for me (visually), but I have a shorter torso.- Great, beautiful, sturdy, strong cotton canvas material. Not stiff, but sturdy canvas.- Pockets:- 3 large outer pockets- no less than 5 inner variable-sized pockets- large inner chamber- with a rear notebook/folder divider; it's a large 6th inner pocket- Lining: Decent or better natural-appearing material. Lining in natural canvas bags is often an issue for me because it can be synthetic-y shiny and often clashes with the natural look (makes me want to brf), and I even prefer bags without linings for this horrible reason (hard to find, and lining serves a purpose). However the lining in these bags appears to be softer cotton material, like a strong cotton handkerchief; at most I'd guess it to be 50/50, but seems more natural than that.Note that in order to keep a "full" shape, you'd have to pack it accordingly since it's not ultra-stiff "synthetic" canvas. However you won't be disappointed in the quality of this sturdy cotton canvas. And, you're here because your looking for a beautiful "real" cotton canvas backpack, right? So glad I ordered this... Whatever you have to pay, don't complain because this is the real deal, and quality is "worth it". I was able to get it at a great price by even 1994 standards (ridiculous). But had I paid 2-3 times as much or more, I'd feel the same. (rant: in 1994 I paid $50 for a slightly smaller synthetic canvas bag with a leather bottom, from a "strong" brand at the time. Makes me want to throw up because THIS (Kattee) bag is what I REALLY wanted... And today was less expensive. Life... (THEN... In 1997 I paid the same amount for the same style bag from the same brand, but it had tackyish synthetic leather!! GAWD!!) SPEW CITY!!!And!! (yes, there's more) you can fit two 16/20 oz water bottles in EACH of the side pockets.Sealed Deal. Utility.Wanted: - more bags from this company with even more outer pockets.

Beautiful
This bag is awesome. The canvas material is heavy so don’t expect a light bag. The leather is beautiful and soft. Snaps seem to be good quality. Really wish the buckles on the main part of the bag were just buckle and bony magnetic snaps but I can’t live with that. The stitching seem very sturdy and nicely done. Can’t wait to use this. I plan to use it as my every day bag so we will see how it holds up. Also it’s pretty huge would be perfect to pack for a weekend away.UPDATE**** So I've had this bag for a year now and it still is in great condition. I use it ever day for work and on the weekends for whatever i need it for. It is still in the same condition it was when i bought it not even a loose stitch. So happy i got this bag. If you are looking for a lightweight bag this is not it is it made of heavy canvas material so its got some weight to it even when its empty.

Like New After 4 Years of Active Jungle Use
I bought this backpack nearly 5 years ago before I moved to Southeast Asia. Since then I've used it daily for groceries, carrying my laptop, as carry on for dozens of flights, and as a camping and hiking backpack in the jungles. This thing has been completed submerged in water when my house flooded, cooked in the sun, beaten by the elements, over packed, and strained in just about every way you can imagine--and it's still going strong. These last five years have only added character. No seam shows even the smallest hint of giving out. It's durability is amazing. I expect to get many more years out of it.The design is also fantastic and practical, with one big compartment, several smaller exterior pockets, and lots of little storage nooks inside. After using it so extensively for five years, my only feedback would be that the draw string method to close the main compartment can be bothersome and it would be nice if it had some padding on the bottom and back of the bag--as is, the contents of the bag can easily poke your back and it can be kind of droopy without contents to give it shape (I put a pillow inside it to take this photo). But these are nitpicky complaints compared to all the great things this backpack has going for it.If you buy this backpack, you won't be disappointed.
