Quick way to develop peace of mind with colon related issues
Amazingly easy to use test. It took me around 10 minutes to complete the whole process. Took 6 dips as directed with the specimen collection device first to collect the sample. Then, squeezed 3 drops as directed on to the sample well of the casette as directed and within a few minutes, the results were available. Colored line appeared in the control region (test was negative). Absolutely amazing.11/02/2015 Update: I performed the test last year around the same time and it was time for me to do my annual FIT test. I performed the test twice (the pack has 2 tests) just to be sure that I am doing it correctly. Again, line appears across the C area and test was negative. Note that if even if the test is negative, because the test is so simple to perform, it may be a good idea to do this more frequently if a patient has the risk profile for colon cancer or colon related problems (polyps may bleed occasionally or may not be uniformly distributed throughout the sample (as per the documentation with the packet). As always, if the test is positive, I recommend consulting your physician for next steps (investigating what is causing the bleeding). As teh former Director of CDC's Cancer Prevention and Control said "The best screening test is the one that gets done". There is no one solution that works for everyone but whichever one works is probably the way to go.

I was very disappointed.
Neither of the two tests used at two weeks apart showed any result whatsoever. I was very disappointed.

Quick, Easy and Painless, and My Doctor Approved
I had a colonoscopy about four or five years ago, precancerous polyps were found, and am due for another colonoscopy. But, with no healthcare, I can't afford this $7,000 - $10,0000 treatment (NoVa area - we are not all millionaires here!). My gynecologist recommended this test and said it was highly accurate. She also, said that many of her patients who either can't afford a colonoscopy, or just refuse to do a colonoscopy, use it. She gave it a two thumbs up. Quick and easy to use, and not messy at all.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT - POTENTIAL LIFESAVER
FIT, also known as iFOBT is a great improvement over the older and much less desirable FOBT. While medicare does pay for an ANNUAL FIT test, any coverage for repeat testing until 11 months have elapsed is an out of pocket expense for most people. I believe that any positive result should be confirmed by a second test. This product makes repeat testing very user friendly. This kit is not only cheaper than a laboratory processed FIT but also very easy to use, even for the uninitiated in simple lab procedures. In my opinion, anything that facilitates detection of possible CRC (colorectal cancer) and encourages testing is a huge winner.CRC is a killer that can be potentially eliminated by early testing and early intervention. So get this PRODUCT, test and report to your MD. Early detection facilitates survival. Your family will thank you.
