Quick to mix up and the result is it’s so moist!
I bought this Gingerbread mix for many years. Lately, I haven’t been able to find this mix anywhere. Even other brands other than Betty Crocker. I thought to check here at Amazon. I found it; as a package of three. That was fine, because it will be used. It goes so well with my homemade Lemon sauce.

A Lighter Gingerbread
For some reason, there wasn't a gingerbread cake mix in the grocery store this holiday season. So I ordered this. The cake isn't a rich, dark gingerbread. It's on the lighter side. This is why I gave it 4 stars. But, you still get the taste. And, it worked for the holidays.

Not ginger-y enough
Not a bad flavor, just not pronounced enough for my taste. When I eat ginger anything and I want a strong ginger/molasses flavor. This mix is on the bland side of things. Used to buy the jiffy brand gingerbread mix but they stopped making. But then I found the recipe on their site using jiffy brand baking mix - plus ginger and molasses and that’s the taste I was looking for!

Great short cut
I bought theis cake mix as a shortcut to make gingerbreads cookies and cakes for the holiday season. With a few added additions of dark molasses, Brown sugar, a little white sugar, an egg, 4 tables spoons of butter, as well as various spices, such as cinnamon, pumpkin spice, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. I added additional flour just because I found the dough rather sticky. It was probably maybe a half a cup give or take. I then allowed it to chill overnight in the refrigerator. The following day I took it out. Let it come up to room temperature. I dusted my table with flour and was able to roll out the dough and make cutouts with no problem. I baked for 9min and that's all. Not one person could tell the difference between my homemade gingerbread cookies vs the short cut. I personally thought they were actually even better. These stayed nice and chewy and soft. If you want more of a crunchy cookie use more white sugar instead of brown. As for the gingerbread christmas cakes I made. I did the same process except for I use vegetable oil instead of butter. I also I used two eggs instead of one. I was impressed how well everything turned out and definitely planned to buy these again for next year.

Easy and delicious
This is the best gingerbread cake! Normally I don’t use box mixes, but, this is exceptional. Takes seconds to prepare, then eat it minutes after it cooks with whipped cream……it’s a fast and easy dessert or snack. Always a hit.
