Good olives/not salty & good marinated in olive oil mix
I love Italian calamata olives that I've ordered here on Amazon in the past, and NO these are not those... but my doctor has me on a little different "diet" these days due to an internal thing ( Liver issue..). and he said things like olives have too much sodium in them, that aggivates the issue -and he told me not to eat them. The saltiness comes from the brine their soaked in and the Greek and Italian ones are saltier. But oh so good.Ok, Im part Italian and although I am willing to give up some things. I like olives a lot and they are actually healthier than most snacks.I remembered buying these canned black olives before, and that they were not salty. So I bought a couple cans of the medium sized of these and drained the juice. Then I soaked them in purified water for an hour and drained them again. ( FYI. The olives have a decent texture not mushy ) I suppose the longer soaked in water the less salty they'd be. But these weren't salty to begin with.In a mason jar I combined extra virgin olive oil with apple cider vinegar and some turmeric plus a little dried bell peppers, oregano and garlic. Put the drained olives into the mix, screwed on the lid and shook em up. Let them sit in the fridge for a while. Now their not salty at all! And the longer they soak in the mixture the better they are. I just take the jar out and shake it occasionally. Thus has become 2 things for me... an delicious olive snack, and a salad dressing... they do the trick. I like these and I plan to keep on experimenting with flavors. Maybe I'll stuff some with feta. So, if you're being told you can't have olives due to sodium you might try this trick. It works great for me.

Only ones my daughter will eat!
When visiting Spain my daughter liked the olives there but not those here in the states. She tried these and loves them!

Good quality for canned olives, but not flavorful
While these are not the most flavorful olives (the flavor is very mild), they are nice for canned olives. The juice is salty, but the olives themselves are just lightly salted. The olives have a `meaty` firm texture, they are great both in salads or cooked in dishes/sauces.

No preservative
I always get these black olives, they seem to be the only black olives on the market that do not contain preservatives or an additive to maintain the color of the olives.I used to also get Lyndsay's Natural Olives but recently noticed that they have begun to add the color retention additive. So 365 olives are my go to.
