Crictor (Reading Rainbow Books)

My daughter L.O.V.E.S. snakes. She is almost 8 and has loved snakes since before she was 3. They have always been her favorite and even owns a ball python now and plans to be a herpetologist when she grows up. However, most people don't like snakes and finding books where the snake is the "good guy" is super hard. A friend found this at the library and had me read it and we bought it for her for her next birthday and it's just lovely. The illustrations are adorable (something I personally care about) the snake is the good guy (what my daughter cares about) and the book is fun and funny (what my husband and other kids care about). I would definitely recommend it.

Educational, funny, interesting, promotes curiosity about geography, nature, etc.

I needed a book to bring to a baby shower and this was my favorite one when I was little. I was so excited to find it and I’m hardcover. The books by this author are delightful.

8 year old loved this old bookI found it in a second hand store . Original price was 45 cents but bought a new one ( soft cover ) for my daughters book parade for school dressing up as the old Madame Bodot, with a red fancy hat and a pool noodle I made into a snake for her book parade . She loves the book as well as being a hit for the parade

My great grandmother has this when I was a little girl and we lived with her. My mom still has it it the house, but I wanted to have a copy that wouldn't disintegrate to share with my niece and nephew. Brings me back to being 3 sitting in grams living room while she reads this to me. So much joy to have it again!

I had this book when I was little and I loved it! I read it to my son when he was little and it was his favorite book. The story and illustrations are charming and sweet. I give copies to anyone of my friends who is having a baby!

The story of the snake is endearing. 60 ears ago it was my favourite bedtime story and I am pleased my Grandaughter loves it too.

This was the first book I ever took out of the library that I could read to myself and now 60 years later I was delighted to find it for my granddaughter who loved it just as much. It is funny and charming and the illustrations are a delight.

Deliziosa storia di un'insolita amicizia tra un'anziana signora e un boa, illustrata con humor dal grande Tomi. Divertente a tutte le età.
