Great pens
Very good pens and feel more confident about security of checks

A must have in this day and age. No one will be able to white wash your checks being sent out when you use these pens. Be smart and safe, use these.

Great product. Nothing PRO about it.
This is just the energel. Smart marketing ploy to add PRO to the product name and charge people for the same ENERGEL that can be purchased for a lower price. Damn, I fell for that one.

Stolen mail
We have had problems with certain type of people stealing mail from our mail boxes, haven't had any real problems yet, but just to be safer I decided to try these indelable ink pens.

Nice pens but, ink skips
Pentel pens have always been a good choice. These seem well made. They have a nice weight, but still light enough for long time use. I love the rubber grip & metal accents. These have a nice look that could take you from your home, to school, to work. The ink color is nice & pigmented, and the fact that it's permanent, fraud safe, & archival safe is greatly appreciated. All that being said, this pen does not write as smoothly as other Pentel pens. It skips a lot & ruins the whole writing experience. These pens are refillable, so hopefully I can replace them with other refills (Pentel or whatever) when the time comes.

Skips or wont write on typical paper including checks
I have used pentel energel pens with .7 and 1.0 tips for a long time and they are great. Unfortunately these pens are nearly useless. They skip or refuse to write on typical paper stock and checks. I bought a box, have tried several with similarly poor results. Maybe I got a bad box. Although the security of permanent ink is attractive I cannot recommend them.

Not Cheap But Awesome
I bought this, and it writes very well. If I could, I'd go down to 0.6 mm, its a bit hard to draw accurately when the line is so big. But it glides on paper very well. And the professional line is water and fade resistant. So there is that!
