DecoArt Americana Acrylic Gel Stains Paint, 2-Ounce, Walnut

I have an area around one of my kitchen drawers where the stain has completed worn off. I know that people are now painting their kitchen cabinets, but I do not want to. I also do not want to re-stain all of my cabinets due to having one of my drawers with a blemish. Other "wood refreshers" were not working as the stain was completely gone. I cleaned the area well and dabbed on a bit of this stain. I wiped it and did it again. Ahhh Haaa! It worked perfectly! My drawer now looks great. I am now constantly reminding everyone to "Use The Handles!!"

I love everything about this product. It’s easy to use, easy to clean up and doesn’t gunk up my brushes. My primary use is for dollhouse miniatures. I wouldn’t use this on a large scale but it works beautifully for my needs.This is the only product I would recommend using (besides paint) on the miniature Chrysnbon kits. Regular wood stains are really a mess with those.

Wanted to make name tags for our shelter animals but didn't want them to look too cheap. Instead of buying expensive tags we went to the dollar store and picked up some cheap ones to stain. This was just one coat. As you can see this product did a great job. It's also non-toxic which is a must around here. Definitely will buy more if needed.

This was something I never used before. It was cheaper than most stains but did the job just as well. The color was beautiful and easy to build on. Only complaint, it seems like you have to use quite a bit when regular stain, a little goes a long way.

I used it on a small wall hanging project and it worked beautifully! I applied it with a paper towel and then wiped any excess off with another paper towel. Took me all of 3-4 minutes! It dried with a fan on it in less than 30 minutes. There is almost no smell to this stain at all. I expected my house to be a little stinky from it, but I couldn't even smell it at all when finished. I got a small amount on my hands and it washed right off with soap and water. I love that it's non-toxic! I'm very pleased with this product and will recommend to others as well as purchase again if needed. The color of this stain was walnut and I stained on Baltic Birch plywood.

Love gel stain. But the container is so small and you need a ton to cover a 2x4 foot sign. Gets darker with two coats. Make sure you have enough for your entire project though because if you run out it doesn't dry the same when you do get more and try to finish the project. It's water soluble so I was able to salvage my project by watering down and restaining. Didn't have good results with white washing because it's half water and took off the stain. Will dry brush next time!

The product is probably fine - haven't used it yet. It took way too long to get it, though. And this was on Prime! Not sure if the seller is the problem or what, but it took a long time. Other than that, all's good. Just a heads up for anyone who's in a hurry.

Super easy to use, easy to clean up, and the color looks like a true walnut. I tried regular Minwax stain and it wouldn't penetrate at all in this weird pine wood. This gel stain was thick and absorbed easily. I also only used about half of the bottle on this frame so it goes pretty far. For $6 I am very impressed and would definitely use this for other projects and recommend it to others.
