Survived a 4-story fall
Well, the Otterbox survive didn't, but my phone did! I was bounding up the stairs - two at a time- of my office parking garage. Just as I reached the 4th floor landing, my iPhone 6 tumbled out of my coat pocket. It hit the floor beside me, then bounced over the edge and plummeted four-stories to the ground floor concrete stairwell . I looked over the railing to see my beloved phone far below, and bounded back down to retrieve the shattered carcass lying faced down in a puddle. The screen lit up when I turned it over and I was devastated to see it was severely cracked. Since the phone was wet, I powered down and stuck it in my pocket til I got home.Upon closer inspection, the OB protective screen was cracked. I took the OB case off the phone and the iPhone screen and case were perfect!! You'd never know it survived an impact that could kill a human. In fact, the attached pictures were taken with the shock-tested phone.I should complain that this product failed and needs replacing after less than 4 months , but I'm grateful and amazed that my phone survived a 4-story fall unscathed. The OB defender earns 5 stars in my book... except, now I need another one.

The defender is the only way to go on a budget!
So my wife will drop her phone at least once a day. I have finally learned that I need to keep her phones in a case at all times. Good cases can be very expensive and I have never had issues with the Otterbox cases. I chose the defender case due to the affordability. For $19 you can't really find a better case for the price. It fits snug, and all of the ports are easily accessible. The defender comes with a belt holster, but my wife will never use it. It is an amazing holster and the clip rotates so it can be used as a kick stand if you wanted to watch videos. Very impressed
I’ve had several otter box covers for various phones and the quality has always been excellent. I’ve dropped my phone countless times from 6ft or so and nothing but a few dings in the case. Last night I accidentally rolled over my phone with my lawn tractor and it just left a little tire mark on the back of the case. No screen cracked or any other damage!!! I’m thoroughly impressed as I was certain I’d need a new phone after picking it up off the ground. Buy with confidence that this will be the cheapest insurance you need for your phone. Thanks Otterbox!!

Bulky, but toughest case I’ve ever seen
Well, for starters, it’s an OtterBox. That alone prepares you for a quality product, and the Defender doesn’t disappoint. The only issue I’ve ever had, including both the two Defenders I’ve now had for my iPhone 6s *and* the two I had for my iPhone 5, the only thing that’s ever really worn out is the screen protector itself, and even then it’s just scratched from my thumbnail.OtterBox is also an excellent company to work with. When the scratches on my iPhone 5’s Defender’s screen protector finally got too bad for me to bear, I called them and asked if it was possible to get a new screen protector piece to glue in. They sent me an entire new Defender, FREE.The only problems I’ve had with my iPhone 6s’ Defender are its bulk and some difficulty in getting the case apart to clean it. I’ve gotten used to its size now, but when I first switched from the 5 to the 6s it was like I suddenly had an old brick phone in my pocket. I suppose that’s more the fault of Apple than it is OtterBox’s fault though.Getting the case open and the phone out to clean it has been the only issue I’m still having to this day. The case’s snaps are very hard to open by hand, and of course any attempt to use a tool comes with a heightened risk of breaking something. I’ve gotten to the point where I know how much pressure to apply to get it open, but it’s still very hard to do.Definitely going to continue buying Defenders for every future phone I get until the Defender line gets discontinued, if it ever does.

Cheap but still completely worth the money.
Just for reference this phone case lasted me 4 years and my phone never cracked or broke in the slightest when I’ve dropped it. The case is a little bulky and after harsh conditions the tabs on the bottom do tear but that was a year and a half after owning it. Amazing product

Best protection for an Iphone
I purchased covers for each of my 4 family member's iPhones. I let everyone choose their own. My daughter was the only one who wanted the bulkiness of the Otterbox. The other three family members each bought a different cover. A little later, my work issued me a new Iphone and required me to use this Otterbox. I was not looking forward to the bulkiness, but after carrying it around (and dropping it) I was totally sold on the Otterbox and I purchased this Otterbox for my personal cell phone. Around the same time, my daughter (who is away to college) informed me that her Otterbox (about 8 months old) had cracked in two places. I contacted Otterbox and I did not have to mail it in--all they asked was that I submit photos of the damage, which we did. It cost about $6 to replace it, so it is not a "full warranty" but it was better than purchasing a new one.

The screen protector diminishes visual quality, but only a little.
This is the best IPhone case on the market: period! I only had to buy a new case as my previous phone was stolen. I dropped my phone on a ladder at about 6 feet, dropped it in a puddle, and other rough treatment. I work in my feet all day and have dropped my phone countless times: But no damage to the phone. The case is a bit cumbersome and bulky: but who cares? The otter box provides a ton of security at a low price. Spending $20 to protect a $700 dollar phone is money well spent in my book.
