Music Editing for Film and Television: The Art and the Process

I treated myself to this fantastic book this past holiday season, and am totally digging it so far :-) Though I could wait and post a review upon completion of reading, I honestly can't contain myself! Congratulations to the author on creating a film/audio book that *definitely* fills a void. IMHO, there is nothing out there that focuses on this aspect of the FILM MUSIC process, with such detail.Plus, any book that features a BERNARD HERRMANN quote in its opening moments is bound to be fantastic, heh heh! This will be a permanent fixture in my library, and will remain within easy reach at all times.(Thanks too, to Focal Press, for yet another amazing audio-related book!)

What I expected , delivered promptly.

I can confidently say that this book would be an invaluable tool for anyone wanting to become a music editor for film and tv.I've had the pleasure of watching this guy work, and I can say first-hand he knows his stuff. He's been a music editor for the better part of 20 years, and his meticulous work ethic is no doubt displayed in the thoroughness of the material.A must have for anyone trying to get their bearings in this industry.

Amazing book! The definitive guide for the craft of music editing in films and television. We highly recommend it to anyone interested in the role of the music editor.

Useful as a reference but for people who have done any kind of music production or editing before it's probably stuff you already know (or never knew you knew!).
