Q: Anyone know the watts it needs for RMS?

The Polk Audio db461p 4" x 6" Plate 2-way Speakers will handle anywhere from 4 to 50 watts of RMS power and they are a very sensitive speaker at 91 dB, which means they will respond well to amplification. They will do fine with factory receiver power, but an amplifier with up to 50 watts RMS power will really bring out the true fidelity and high quality sound of the speakers. I hope that helps! Q: Will they fit my 97 chevy astro van

If it takes a 4x6 speaker it may . I only say may , because the mid bass woofer is not on center.. When I installed these in my girlfriends late model cavalier they fit but not inside the acoustic enclosure that mounts it to the door frame Unless you open up the area and look inside you will know for sure.. If you aren't sure I reccomend the standard coaxial 4x6 that Polk sells .. These plates do sound great tho . So much treble tho . I found myself messing eith the eq so that treble is flat and most above 1000 hz needed to be toned down considerably Feel free to see my full review on this product ..

According to crutchfield they are 50 watt rms and 150 watt peak, I have an alpine amp running mine at about 45 watts and have been tuning them for about 2 years. They are great speakers. You could run them with your amp with a good break in period, just make sure that they are not being distorted and they should be fine, I don’t think you’re amp would be pushing a solid 70 watts constantly. Most of the time probably around 40 depending on if you have subs on a separate amp or not

No, there is 1 input, and then the crossover separates the signal to the midrange and tweeter.
