I love olives, but need to follow a low sodium diet. This does the trick. Favor Pearls Olives and appreciate a low sodium variety.

I have ordered several of cases of these olives. Food product quality is good. Maybe, only one soft semi-bad olive per-can. All other olives are firm & tasty. The reduced sodium content is a bonus. They definitely are not as salty as the regular packed olives. With this brand you are able to taste the black olive accurately. I have used the packing juice from the can in soups, stews & gravies. Works very well in recipes along with the olives.

Excellent for people on low sodium diet. I am on a low carb diet and am also dealing with congestive heart failure, so low sodium is a must for me, and olives are almost a perfect low carb substitute. I must warn you that low sodium olives don't have the same strong flavor that high sodium olives do, which makes me wonder, when I eat olives for the taste, is it just the salt that makes it taste so good? These olives do have a nice bland sort of buttery taste. I spice mine up a little by eating them with sour cream (naturally low sodium) and low sodium salsa (Amazon), which has a very nice medium flavor.

I've been buying these regularly for 33 to 35 per case. I go back to reorder and.now they are $55. a case pretty close to price gouging!

I loooooooove canned black olives. I mean, black olives are like pizza - "When they're good, they're really good, but when they're bad, they're still pretty good!" Most brands are great. I've had only one or two brands that were "meh" but I still ate them. But I have never had a canned black olive as good as these Pearls. Literally they are leagues beyond better in taste than all the other black olives that I already thought were pretty great. Seriously. And they have an added kind of buttery quality that I have never tasted in a black olive before but have in something like a castlevetrano olive. I just can't say enough things about these Pearl olives. But I'll shut up now.

DON'T BUY unless you want to eat what you see in my photos, which show the disgusting yellow slime that was in my cans and on my olives. Another post called it "possible mold". They are not past the expiration date, so I don't know what the issue is. But I was told it was not returnable/refundable. Too bad, because the previous time I bought them, they tasted and looked fine. It's unfortunate that the quality is inconsistent.
