Coffee shop coffee at home
I’ve been after this machine for over two years now and yesterday took delivery. I held off just because of price. While I absolutely love coffee, I think we can all agree that £1000 on a machine is a lot of money to spend. Fortunately I managed to get this for £799 in a sale and honestly, it’s worth every penny. If you want coffee shop quality coffee at home then look no further.A beautiful machine and stands out in any kitchen. Easy to use with a great user interface to take you through step by step and of course, superb tasting fresh coffee.

Makes great coffee
Nice middle ground between bean to cup machine and fully manual.

Easy to use and makes superb coffee
Had the machine a few weeks now and the whole family love it. Brings the 'Costa' experience to home and the machine is designed to be as 'idiot' proof as possible. That said, a bit of trial and error is required to get the grind adjusted and the whole tamping, brewing, and frothing thing takes a few goes to get right. I have a new found respect for professional baristas! This machine is expensive but no regrets on spending the cash so far.

Good machine but requires a bit of maintenance to keep running
Overall experience has been okay, produces decent coffees so that’s the main thing. Just requires a bit more maintenance than I expected to keep it up and running. The other issue I find is that the grind size is stepped or too hard to dial in. Jumping around from 10-12 I would rather this was a bit more fine tuned around this point as I find 1 step either way around this stop is either too small or too large. Also a better system would be to give grind size measurements in microns so it means something. Built in scales would mean less coffee waste grinding for a set time. Much better if you just said 18g as target mass.Seems to block easily - had to descale to get flow working again. Unfortunately in the middle of the descale operation I missed the window to activate the second part. There’s no way to resume as it goes off into demo mode. Those are the pain points of this machine. Overall decent machine but couple of areas that could improve the UX.

What a fabulous quality product
I must say I have researched and looked for ages - but this machine exceeds my expectations - beautifully made - it is a fabulous design and easy to use - and works so well !It clicks into place and is idiot proof !I fancied myself as a bit of a baristaso thought about the dual boiler - but heck why overcomplicate things -The hardest part is not drinking coffee all day !!Highly recommended

Very useful
It’s very useful and has user friendly menu. Bought this after returning Philips beans to cup machine which serving nearly cld coffee. This machine serves coffee and milk hot enough.

Impressive
Quality machine, no not the cheapest, but everything smacks of quality. Bought to replace an Eletta Cappuccino which was a bit too automated for me. Use a decent bean - I would google roasters - don’t buy pre packed, and you have cafe quality coffee. Brilliant.

Broke within 2 years
This is the third Sage coffee machine I have purchased. All three of them broke within 2 years and it's a nightmare trying to get them fixed replaced. I purchased my last machine on 5.4.22 for £898.96. on 29.3.24 it broke. The problem is no water will feed through the system therefore no coffee. I called SAGE and even though its within the 2 year warranty they will need to get the company who repairs their machines to either send out an engineer and/or I have to return it to them to be fixed. I am still waiting for contact. However, neither option helps because I am without a coffee machine until I either get it fixed or if it's not repairable hopefully I will get a new machine. I only use the machine twice a day and added to this I work away so in reality I have only used this machine twice a day for probably 18 months. My advice would be if you plan to purchase this machine purchase it from a high street retailer so at least you can return it and try to get it replaced rather than having to mess around like I am doing. Very disappointed considering how much I paid. However, when it does work the coffee is good albeit the cleaning can be a nightmare.
